소개 예레미야가 요하난과 유다의 잔류민에게 유다에 남아 있으면 안전할 것이나, 애굽으로 내려가면 기근과 검과 질병을 만나리라 예언함. Jeremiah promises Johanan and the remnant of Judah peace and safety if they remain in Judah, but a sword and famine and pestilence if they go to Egypt.
레 42:1 이에 모든 군대의 지휘관과 가레아의 아들 요하난과 호사야의 아들 여사냐와 백성의 낮은 자로부터 높은 자까지 다 나아와 Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,
레 42:2 선지자 예레미야에게 이르되 당신은 우리의 탄원을 듣고 이 남아 있는 모든 자를 위하여 당신의 하나님 여호와께 기도해 주소서 당신이 보는 바와 같이 우리는 많은 사람 중에서 남은 적은 무리이니 And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)
레 42:3 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 우리가 마땅히 갈 길과 할 일을 보이시기를 원하나이다 That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.
레 42:4 선지자 예레미야가 그들에게 이르되 내가 너희 말을 들었은즉 너희 말대로 너희 하나님 여호와께 기도하고 무릇 여호와께서 너희에게 응답하시는 것을 숨김이 없이 너희에게 말하리라 Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.
레 42:5 그들이 예레미야에게 이르되 우리가 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 당신을 보내사 우리에게 이르시는 모든 말씀대로 행하리이다 여호와께서는 우리 가운데에 진실하고 성실한 증인이 되시옵소서 Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.
레 42:6 우리가 당신을 우리 하나님 여호와께 보냄은 그의 목소리가 우리에게 좋든지 좋지 않든지를 막론하고 순종하려 함이라 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 순종하면 우리에게 복이 있으리이다 하니라 Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.
레 42:7 십일 후에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니 And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.
레 42:8 그가 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있는 모든 군 지휘관과 백성의 낮은 자로부터 높은 자까지 다 부르고 Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,
레 42:9 그들에게 이르되 너희가 나를 보내어 너희의 간구를 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께 드리게 하지 아니하였느냐 그가 이렇게 이르니라 And said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him;
레 42:10 너희가 이 땅에 눌러 앉아 산다면 내가 너희를 세우고 헐지 아니하며 너희를 심고 뽑지 아니하리니 이는 내가 너희에게 내린 재난에 대하여 뜻을 돌이킴이라 If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.
레 42:11 여호와의 말씀이니라 너희는 너희가 두려워하는 바벨론의 왕을 겁내지 말라 내가 너희와 함께 있어 너희를 구원하며 그의 손에서 너희를 건지리니 두려워하지 말라 Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
레 42:12 내가 너희를 불쌍히 여기리니 그도 너희를 불쌍히 여겨 너희를 너희 본향으로 돌려보내리라 하셨느니라 And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.
레 42:13 그러나 만일 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와의 말씀을 복종하지 아니하고 말하기를 우리는 이 땅에 살지 아니하리라 하며 But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,
레 42:14 또 너희가 말하기를 아니라 우리는 전쟁도 보이지 아니하며 나팔 소리도 들리지 아니하며 양식의 궁핍도 당하지 아니하는 애굽 땅으로 들어가 살리라 하면 잘못되리라 Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
레 42:15 너희 유다의 남은 자여 이제 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 너희가 만일 애굽에 들어가서 거기에 살기로 고집하면 And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;
레 42:16 너희가 두려워하는 칼이 애굽 땅으로 따라가서 너희에게 미칠 것이요 너희가 두려워하는 기근이 애굽으로 급히 따라가서 너희에게 임하리니 너희가 거기에서 죽을 것이라 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.
레 42:17 무릇 애굽으로 들어가서 거기에 머물러 살기로 고집하는 모든 사람은 이와 같이 되리니 곧 칼과 기근과 전염병에 죽을 것인즉 내가 그들에게 내리는 재난을 벗어나서 남을 자 없으리라 So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.
레 42:18 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 나의 노여움과 분을 예루살렘 주민에게 부은 것 같이 너희가 애굽에 이를 때에 나의 분을 너희에게 부으리니 너희가 가증함과 놀램과 저주와 치욕 거리가 될 것이라 너희가 다시는 이 땅을 보지 못하리라 하시도다 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.
레 42:19 유다의 남은 자들아 여호와께서 너희를 두고 하신 말씀에 너희는 애굽으로 가지 말라 하셨고 나도 오늘 너희에게 경고한 것을 너희는 분명히 알라 The LORD hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.
레 42:20 너희가 나를 너희 하나님 여호와께 보내며 이르기를 우리를 위하여 우리 하나님 여호와께 기도하고 우리 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 우리에게 전하라 우리가 그대로 행하리라 하여 너희 마음을 속였느니라 For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.
레 42:21 너희 하나님 여호와께서 나를 보내사 너희에게 명하신 말씀을 내가 오늘 너희에게 전하였어도 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 도무지 순종하지 아니하였은즉 And now I have this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God, nor any thing for the which he hath sent me unto you.
레 42:22 너희가 가서 머물려고 하는 곳에서 칼과 기근과 전염병에 죽을 줄 분명히 알지니라 Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn.
