소개	아마샤가 유다를 훌륭히 다스림. 이스라엘이 유다를 쳐서 이김. 여로보암이 이스라엘에서 악하게 다스림.	Amaziah reigns well in Judah—Israel defeats Judah in battle—Jeroboam reigns in wickedness in Israel.
왕하 14:1	이스라엘의 왕 여호아하스의 아들 요아스 제이년에 유다의 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤가 왕이 되니	In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.
왕하 14:2	그가 왕이 된 때에 나이 이십오 세라 예루살렘에서 이십구 년간 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 여호앗단이요 예루살렘 사람이더라	He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
왕하 14:3	아마샤가 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나 그의 조상 다윗과는 같지 아니하였으며 그의 아버지 요아스가 행한 대로 다 행하였어도	And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did.
왕하 14:4	오직 산당들을 제거하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 여전히 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였더라	Howbeit the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.
왕하 14:5	나라가 그의 손에 굳게 서매 그의 부왕을 죽인 신복들을 죽였으나	And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father.
왕하 14:6	왕을 죽인 자의 자녀들은 죽이지 아니하였으니 이는 모세의 율법책에 기록된 대로 함이라 곧 여호와께서 명령하여 이르시기를 자녀로 말미암아 아버지를 죽이지 말 것이요 아버지로 말미암아 자녀를 죽이지 말 것이라 오직 사람마다 자기의 죄로 말미암아 죽을 것이니라 하셨더라	But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
왕하 14:7	아마샤가 소금 골짜기에서 에돔 사람 만 명을 죽이고 또 전쟁을 하여 셀라를 취하고 이름을 욕드엘이라 하였더니 오늘까지 그러하니라	He slew of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day.
왕하 14:8	아마샤가 예후의 손자 여호아하스의 아들 이스라엘의 왕 요아스에게 사자를 보내 이르되 오라 우리가 서로 대면하자 한지라	Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face.
왕하 14:9	이스라엘의 왕 요아스가 유다의 왕 아마샤에게 사람을 보내 이르되 레바논 가시나무가 레바논 백향목에게 전갈을 보내어 이르기를 네 딸을 내 아들에게 주어 아내로 삼게 하라 하였더니 레바논 들짐승이 지나가다가 그 가시나무를 짓밟았느니라	And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.
왕하 14:10	네가 에돔을 쳐서 파하였으므로 마음이 교만하였으니 스스로 영광을 삼아 왕궁에나 네 집으로 돌아가라 어찌하여 화를 자취하여 너와 유다가 함께 망하고자 하느냐 하나	Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?
왕하 14:11	아마샤가 듣지 아니하므로 이스라엘의 왕 요아스가 올라와서 그와 유다의 왕 아마샤가 유다의 벧세메스에서 대면하였더니	But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth-shemesh, which belongeth to Judah.
왕하 14:12	유다가 이스라엘 앞에서 패하여 각기 장막으로 도망한지라	And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to their tents.
왕하 14:13	이스라엘 왕 요아스가 벧세메스에서 아하시야의 손자 요아스의 아들 유다 왕 아마샤를 사로잡고 예루살렘에 이르러 예루살렘 성벽을 에브라임 문에서부터 성 모퉁이 문까지 사백 규빗을 헐고	And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
왕하 14:14	또 여호와의 성전과 왕궁 곳간에 있는 금 은과 모든 기명을 탈취하고 또 사람을 볼모로 잡고서 사마리아로 돌아갔더라	And he took all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king’s house, and hostages, and returned to Samaria.
왕하 14:15	요아스의 남은 사적과 그의 업적과 또 유다의 왕 아마샤와 싸운 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐	Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did, and his might, and how he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
왕하 14:16	요아스가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 이스라엘 왕들과 사마리아에 함께 장사되고 그의 아들 여로보암이 대신하여 왕이 되니라	And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead.
왕하 14:17	이스라엘의 왕 여호아하스의 아들 요아스가 죽은 후에도 유다의 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤가 십오 년간을 생존하였더라	And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.
왕하 14:18	아마샤의 남은 행적은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐	And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
왕하 14:19	예루살렘에서 무리가 그를 반역한 고로 그가 라기스로 도망하였더니 반역한 무리가 사람을 라기스로 따라 보내 그를 거기서 죽이게 하고	Now they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem: and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.
왕하 14:20	그 시체를 말에 실어다가 예루살렘에서 그의 조상들과 함께 다윗 성에 장사하니라	And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.
왕하 14:21	유다 온 백성이 아사랴를 그의 아버지 아마샤를 대신하여 왕으로 삼으니 그 때에 그의 나이가 십육 세라	And all the people of Judah took Azariah, which was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.
왕하 14:22	아마샤가 그의 조상들과 함께 잔 후에 아사랴가 엘랏을 건축하여 유다에 복귀시켰더라	He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.
왕하 14:23	유다의 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤 제십오년에 이스라엘의 왕 요아스의 아들 여로보암이 사마리아에서 왕이 되어 사십일 년간 다스렸으며	In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, and reigned forty and one years.
왕하 14:24	여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 죄에서 떠나지 아니하였더라	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
왕하 14:25	이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 그의 종 가드헤벨 아밋대의 아들 선지자 요나를 통하여 하신 말씀과 같이 여로보암이 이스라엘 영토를 회복하되 하맛 어귀에서부터 아라바 바다까지 하였으니	He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gath-hepher.
왕하 14:26	이는 여호와께서 이스라엘의 고난이 심하여 매인 자도 없고 놓인 자도 없고 이스라엘을 도울 자도 없음을 보셨고	For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.
왕하 14:27	여호와께서 또 이스라엘의 이름을 천하에서 없이 하겠다고도 아니하셨으므로 요아스의 아들 여로보암의 손으로 구원하심이었더라	And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
왕하 14:28	여로보암의 남은 사적과 모든 행한 일과 싸운 업적과 다메섹을 회복한 일과 이전에 유다에 속하였던 하맛을 이스라엘에 돌린 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐	Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
왕하 14:29	여로보암이 그의 조상 이스라엘 왕들과 함께 자고 그의 아들 스가랴가 대신하여 왕이 되니라	And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and Zachariah his son reigned in his stead.
