소개	산헤립이 유다를 침공하여 성읍들을 점령하고 하나님을 모독함. 이사야(아모스의 아들)와 히스기야가 기도함. 한 천사가 앗수르의 장관들을 죽임. 히스기야는 잠시 교만했으나 다시 뉘우치고 충실함.	Sennacherib invades Judah and besieges her cities—He rails against the Lord—Isaiah and Hezekiah pray, and an angel destroys the leaders of Assyrian armies—Hezekiah reigns in righteousness despite some faults.
대하 32:1	이 모든 충성된 일을 한 후에 앗수르 왕 산헤립이 유다에 들어와서 견고한 성읍들을 향하여 진을 치고 쳐서 점령하고자 한지라	After these things, and the establishment thereof, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself.
대하 32:2	히스기야가 산헤립이 예루살렘을 치러 온 것을 보고	And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem,
대하 32:3	그의 방백들과 용사들과 더불어 의논하고 성 밖의 모든 물 근원을 막고자 하매 그들이 돕더라	He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city: and they did help him.
대하 32:4	이에 백성이 많이 모여 모든 물 근원과 땅으로 흘러가는 시내를 막고 이르되 어찌 앗수르 왕들이 와서 많은 물을 얻게 하리요 하고	So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
대하 32:5	히스기야가 힘을 내어 무너진 모든 성벽을 보수하되 망대까지 높이 쌓고 또 외성을 쌓고 다윗 성의 밀로를 견고하게 하고 무기와 방패를 많이 만들고	Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance.
대하 32:6	군대 지휘관들을 세워 백성을 거느리게 하고 성문 광장에서 자기 앞에 무리를 모으고 말로 위로하여 이르되	And he set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake comfortably to them, saying,
대하 32:7	너희는 마음을 강하게 하며 담대히 하고 앗수르 왕과 그를 따르는 온 무리로 말미암아 두려워하지 말며 놀라지 말라 우리와 함께 하시는 이가 그와 함께 하는 자보다 크니	Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:
대하 32:8	그와 함께 하는 자는 육신의 팔이요 우리와 함께 하시는 이는 우리의 하나님 여호와시라 반드시 우리를 도우시고 우리를 대신하여 싸우시리라 하매 백성이 유다 왕 히스기야의 말로 말미암아 안심하니라	With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
대하 32:9	그 후에 앗수르 왕 산헤립이 그의 온 군대를 거느리고 라기스를 치며 그의 신하들을 예루살렘에 보내어 유다 왕 히스기야와 예루살렘에 있는 유다 무리에게 말하여 이르기를	After this did Sennacherib king of Assyria send his servants to Jerusalem, (but he himself laid siege against Lachish, and all his power with him,) unto Hezekiah king of Judah, and unto all Judah that were at Jerusalem, saying,
대하 32:10	앗수르 왕 산헤립은 이같이 말하노라 너희가 예루살렘에 에워싸여 있으면서 무엇을 의뢰하느냐	Thus saith Sennacherib king of Assyria, Whereon do ye trust, that ye abide in the siege in Jerusalem?
대하 32:11	히스기야가 너희를 꾀어 이르기를 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 앗수르 왕의 손에서 건져내시리라 하거니와 이 어찌 너희를 주림과 목마름으로 죽게 함이 아니냐	Doth not Hezekiah persuade you to give over yourselves to die by famine and by thirst, saying, The LORD our God shall deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
대하 32:12	이 히스기야가 여호와의 산당들과 제단들을 제거하여 버리고 유다와 예루살렘에 명령하여 이르기를 너희는 다만 한 제단 앞에서 예배하고 그 위에 분향하라 하지 아니하였느냐	Hath not the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall worship before one altar, and burn incense upon it?
대하 32:13	나와 내 조상들이 이방 모든 백성들에게 행한 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 모든 나라의 신들이 능히 그들의 땅을 내 손에서 건져낼 수 있었느냐	Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the people of other lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of mine hand?
대하 32:14	내 조상들이 진멸한 모든 나라의 그 모든 신들 중에 누가 능히 그의 백성을 내 손에서 건져내었기에 너희 하나님이 능히 너희를 내 손에서 건지겠느냐	Who was there among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of mine hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of mine hand?
대하 32:15	그런즉 이와 같이 너희는 히스기야에게 속지 말라 꾀임을 받지 말라 그를 믿지도 말라 어떤 백성이나 어떤 나라의 신도 능히 자기의 백성을 나의 손과 나의 조상들의 손에서 건져내지 못하였나니 하물며 너희 하나님이 너희를 내 손에서 건져내겠느냐 하였더라	Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?
대하 32:16	산헤립의 신하들도 더욱 여호와 하나님과 그의 종 히스기야를 비방하였으며	And his servants spake yet more against the LORD God, and against his servant Hezekiah.
대하 32:17	산헤립이 또 편지를 써 보내어 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 욕하고 비방하여 이르기를 모든 나라의 신들이 그들의 백성을 내 손에서 구원하여 내지 못한 것 같이 히스기야의 신들도 그의 백성을 내 손에서 구원하여 내지 못하리라 하고	He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.
대하 32:18	산헤립의 신하가 유다 방언으로 크게 소리 질러 예루살렘 성 위에 있는 백성을 놀라게 하고 괴롭게 하여 그 성을 점령하려 하였는데	Then they cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ speech unto the people of Jerusalem that were on the wall, to affright them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city.
대하 32:19	그들이 예루살렘의 하나님을 비방하기를 사람의 손으로 지은 세상 사람의 신들을 비방하듯 하였더라	And they spake against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth, which were the work of the hands of man.
대하 32:20	이러므로 히스기야 왕이 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야와 더불어 하늘을 향하여 부르짖어 기도하였더니	And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.
대하 32:21	여호와께서 한 천사를 보내어 앗수르 왕의 진영에서 모든 큰 용사와 대장과 지휘관들을 멸하신지라 앗수르 왕이 낯이 뜨거워 그의 고국으로 돌아갔더니 그의 신의 전에 들어갔을 때에 그의 몸에서 난 자들이 거기서 칼로 죽였더라	And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.
대하 32:22	이와 같이 여호와께서 히스기야와 예루살렘 주민을 앗수르 왕 산헤립의 손과 모든 적국의 손에서 구원하여 내사 사면으로 보호하시매	Thus the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side.
대하 32:23	여러 사람이 예물을 가지고 예루살렘에 와서 여호와께 드리고 또 보물을 유다 왕 히스기야에게 드린지라 이 후부터 히스기야가 모든 나라의 눈에 존귀하게 되었더라	And many brought gifts unto the LORD to Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah: so that he was magnified in the sight of all nations from thenceforth.
대하 32:24	그 때에 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되었으므로 여호와께 기도하매 여호와께서 그에게 대답하시고 또 이적을 보이셨으나	In those days Hezekiah was sick to the death, and prayed unto the LORD: and he spake unto him, and he gave him a sign.
대하 32:25	히스기야가 마음이 교만하여 그 받은 은혜를 보답하지 아니하므로 진노가 그와 유다와 예루살렘에 내리게 되었더니	But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.
대하 32:26	히스기야가 마음의 교만함을 뉘우치고 예루살렘 주민들도 그와 같이 하였으므로 여호와의 진노가 히스기야의 생전에는 그들에게 내리지 아니하니라	Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
대하 32:27	히스기야가 부와 영광이 지극한지라 이에 은금과 보석과 향품과 방패와 온갖 보배로운 그릇들을 위하여 창고를 세우며	And Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honour: and he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels;
대하 32:28	곡식과 새 포도주와 기름의 산물을 위하여 창고를 세우며 온갖 짐승의 외양간을 세우며 양 떼의 우리를 갖추며	Storehouses also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cotes for flocks.
대하 32:29	양 떼와 많은 소 떼를 위하여 성읍들을 세웠으니 이는 하나님이 그에게 재산을 심히 많이 주셨음이며	Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance: for God had given him substance very much.
대하 32:30	이 히스기야가 또 기혼의 윗샘물을 막아 그 아래로부터 다윗 성 서쪽으로 곧게 끌어들였으니 히스기야가 그의 모든 일에 형통하였더라	This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.
대하 32:31	그러나 바벨론 방백들이 히스기야에게 사신을 보내어 그 땅에서 나타난 이적을 물을 때에 하나님이 히스기야를 떠나시고 그의 심중에 있는 것을 다 알고자 하사 시험하셨더라	Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.
대하 32:32	히스기야의 남은 행적과 그의 모든 선한 일은 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야의 묵시 책과 유다와 이스라엘 열왕기에 기록되니라	Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
대하 32:33	히스기야가 그의 조상들과 함께 누우매 온 유다와 예루살렘 주민이 그를 다윗 자손의 묘실 중 높은 곳에 장사하여 그의 죽음에 그에게 경의를 표하였더라 그의 아들 므낫세가 대신하여 왕이 되니라	And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the chiefest of the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honour at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
