소개	네가 낮아져서 땅에서 말하며 네 말소리가 나직히 티끌에서 날 것이라 네 목소리가 신접한 자의 목소리 같이 땅에서 나며 네 말소리가 티끌에서 지꺼리리라	Nephites shall speak as a voice from the dust—The apostasy, restoration of the gospel, and coming forth of Book of Mormon are foretold—Compare 2 Nephi 27.
사 29:1	슬프다 아리엘이여 아리엘이여 다윗이 진 친 성읍이여 해마다 절기가 돌아오려니와	Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.
사 29:2	내가 아리엘을 괴롭게 하리니 그가 슬퍼하고 애곡하며 내게 아리엘과 같이 되리라	Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.
사 29:3	내가 너를 사면으로 둘러 진을 치며 너를 에워 대를 쌓아 너를 치리니	And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.
사 29:4	네가 낮아져서 땅에서 말하며 네 말소리가 나직이 티끌에서 날 것이라 네 목소리가 신접한 자의 목소리 같이 땅에서 나며 네 말소리가 티끌에서 지껄이리라	And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
사 29:5	그럴지라도 네 대적의 무리는 세미한 티끌 같겠고 강포한 자의 무리는 날려 가는 겨 같으리니 그 일이 순식간에 갑자기 일어날 것이라	Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
사 29:6	만군의 여호와께서 우레와 지진과 큰 소리와 회오리바람과 폭풍과 맹렬한 불꽃으로 그들을 징벌하실 것인즉	Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
사 29:7	아리엘을 치는 열방의 무리 곧 아리엘과 그 요새를 쳐서 그를 곤고하게 하는 모든 자는 꿈 같이, 밤의 환상 같이 되리니	And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.
사 29:8	주린 자가 꿈에 먹었을지라도 깨면 그 속은 여전히 비고 목마른 자가 꿈에 마셨을지라도 깨면 곤비하며 그 속에 갈증이 있는 것 같이 시온 산을 치는 열방의 무리가 그와 같으리라	It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
사 29:9	너희는 놀라고 놀라라 너희는 맹인이 되고 맹인이 되라 그들의 취함이 포도주로 말미암음이 아니며 그들의 비틀거림이 독주로 말미암음이 아니니라	Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
사 29:10	대저 여호와께서 깊이 잠들게 하는 영을 너희에게 부어 주사 너희의 눈을 감기셨음이니 그가 선지자들과 너희의 지도자인 선견자들을 덮으셨음이라	For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
사 29:11	그러므로 모든 계시가 너희에게는 봉한 책의 말처럼 되었으니 그것을 글 아는 자에게 주며 이르기를 그대에게 청하노니 이를 읽으라 하면 그가 대답하기를 그것이 봉해졌으니 나는 못 읽겠노라 할 것이요	And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
사 29:12	또 그 책을 글 모르는 자에게 주며 이르기를 그대에게 청하노니 이를 읽으라 하면 그가 대답하기를 나는 글을 모른다 할 것이니라	And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
사 29:13	주께서 이르시되 이 백성이 입으로는 나를 가까이 하며 입술로는 나를 공경하나 그들의 마음은 내게서 멀리 떠났나니 그들이 나를 경외함은 사람의 계명으로 가르침을 받았을 뿐이라	Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
사 29:14	그러므로 내가 이 백성 중에 기이한 일 곧 기이하고 가장 기이한 일을 다시 행하리니 그들 중에서 지혜자의 지혜가 없어지고 명철자의 총명이 가려지리라	Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
사 29:15	자기의 계획을 여호와께 깊이 숨기려 하는 자들은 화 있을진저 그들의 일을 어두운 데에서 행하며 이르기를 누가 우리를 보랴 누가 우리를 알랴 하니	Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
사 29:16	너희의 패역함이 심하도다 토기장이를 어찌 진흙 같이 여기겠느냐 지음을 받은 물건이 어찌 자기를 지은 이에게 대하여 이르기를 그가 나를 짓지 아니하였다 하겠으며 빚음을 받은 물건이 자기를 빚은 이에게 대하여 이르기를 그가 총명이 없다 하겠느냐	Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
사 29:17	오래지 아니하여 레바논이 기름진 밭으로 변하지 아니하겠으며 기름진 밭이 숲으로 여겨지지 아니하겠느냐	Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?
사 29:18	그 날에 못 듣는 사람이 책의 말을 들을 것이며 어둡고 캄캄한 데에서 맹인의 눈이 볼 것이며	And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.
사 29:19	겸손한 자에게 여호와로 말미암아 기쁨이 더하겠고 사람 중 가난한 자가 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이로 말미암아 즐거워하리니	The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
사 29:20	이는 강포한 자가 소멸되었으며 오만한 자가 그쳤으며 죄악의 기회를 엿보던 자가 다 끊어졌음이라	For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
사 29:21	그들은 송사로 사람에게 죄를 씌우며 성문에서 판단하는 자를 올무로 잡듯 하며 헛된 일로 의인을 억울하게 하느니라	That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.
사 29:22	그러므로 아브라함을 구속하신 여호와께서 야곱 족속에 대하여 이같이 말씀하시되 야곱이 이제는 부끄러워하지 아니하겠고 그의 얼굴이 이제는 창백해지지 아니할 것이며	Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
사 29:23	그의 자손은 내 손이 그 가운데에서 행한 것을 볼 때에 내 이름을 거룩하다 하며 야곱의 거룩한 이를 거룩하다 하며 이스라엘의 하나님을 경외할 것이며	But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
사 29:24	마음이 혼미하던 자들도 총명하게 되며 원망하던 자들도 교훈을 받으리라 하셨느니라	They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.
