| 요 8:1 | 예수는 감람 산으로 가시니라 | Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. |
| 요 8:2 | 아침에 다시 성전으로 들어오시니 백성이 다 나아오는지라 앉으사 그들을 가르치시더니 | And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. |
| 요 8:3 | 서기관들과 바리새인들이 음행중에 잡힌 여자를 끌고 와서 가운데 세우고 | And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, |
| 요 8:4 | 예수께 말하되 선생이여 이 여자가 간음하다가 현장에서 잡혔나이다 | They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. |
| 요 8:5 | 모세는 율법에 이러한 여자를 돌로 치라 명하였거니와 선생은 어떻게 말하겠나이까 | Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? |
| 요 8:6 | 그들이 이렇게 말함은 고발할 조건을 얻고자 하여 예수를 시험함이러라 예수께서 몸을 굽히사 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니 | This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. |
| 요 8:7 | 그들이 묻기를 마지 아니하는지라 이에 일어나 이르시되 너희 중에 죄 없는 자가 먼저 돌로 치라 하시고 | So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. |
| 요 8:8 | 다시 몸을 굽혀 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니 | And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. |
| 요 8:9 | 그들이 이 말씀을 듣고 양심에 가책을 느껴 어른으로 시작하여 젊은이까지 하나씩 하나씩 나가고 오직 예수와 그 가운데 섰는 여자만 남았더라 | And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. |
| 요 8:10 | 예수께서 일어나사 여자 외에 아무도 없는 것을 보시고 이르시되 여자여 너를 고발하던 그들이 어디 있느냐 너를 정죄한 자가 없느냐 | When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? |
| 요 8:11 | 대답하되 주여 없나이다 예수께서 이르시되 나도 너를 정죄하지 아니하노니 가서 다시는 죄를 범하지 말라 하시니라] | She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. |
| 요 8:12 | 예수께서 또 말씀하여 이르시되 나는 세상의 빛이니 나를 따르는 자는 어둠에 다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라 | Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. |
| 요 8:13 | 바리새인들이 이르되 네가 너를 위하여 증언하니 네 증언은 참되지 아니하도다 | The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. |
| 요 8:14 | 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 내가 나를 위하여 증언하여도 내 증언이 참되니 나는 내가 어디서 오며 어디로 가는 것을 알거니와 너희는 내가 어디서 오며 어디로 가는 것을 알지 못하느니라 | Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. |
| 요 8:15 | 너희는 육체를 따라 판단하나 나는 아무도 판단하지 아니하노라 | Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. |
| 요 8:16 | 만일 내가 판단하여도 내 판단이 참되니 이는 내가 혼자 있는 것이 아니요 나를 보내신 이가 나와 함께 계심이라 | And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. |
| 요 8:17 | 너희 율법에도 두 사람의 증언이 참되다 기록되었으니 | It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. |
| 요 8:18 | 내가 나를 위하여 증언하는 자가 되고 나를 보내신 아버지도 나를 위하여 증언하시느니라 | I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. |
| 요 8:19 | 이에 그들이 묻되 네 아버지가 어디 있느냐 예수께서 대답하시되 너희는 나를 알지 못하고 내 아버지도 알지 못하는도다 나를 알았더라면 내 아버지도 알았으리라 | Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. |
| 요 8:20 | 이 말씀은 성전에서 가르치실 때에 헌금함 앞에서 하셨으나 잡는 사람이 없으니 이는 그의 때가 아직 이르지 아니하였음이러라 | These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. |
| 요 8:21 | 다시 이르시되 내가 가리니 너희가 나를 찾다가 너희 죄 가운데서 죽겠고 내가 가는 곳에는 너희가 오지 못하리라 | Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. |
| 요 8:22 | 유대인들이 이르되 그가 말하기를 내가 가는 곳에는 너희가 오지 못하리라 하니 그가 자결하려는가 | Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. |
| 요 8:23 | 예수께서 이르시되 너희는 아래에서 났고 나는 위에서 났으며 너희는 이 세상에 속하였고 나는 이 세상에 속하지 아니하였느니라 | And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. |
| 요 8:24 | 그러므로 내가 너희에게 말하기를 너희가 너희 죄 가운데서 죽으리라 하였노라 너희가 만일 내가 그인 줄 믿지 아니하면 너희 죄 가운데서 죽으리라 | I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. |
| 요 8:25 | 그들이 말하되 네가 누구냐 예수께서 이르시되 나는 처음부터 너희에게 말하여 온 자니라 | Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. |
| 요 8:26 | 내가 너희에게 대하여 말하고 판단할 것이 많으나 나를 보내신 이가 참되시매 내가 그에게 들은 그것을 세상에 말하노라 하시되 | I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. |
| 요 8:27 | 그들은 아버지를 가리켜 말씀하신 줄을 깨닫지 못하더라 | They understood not that he spake to them of the Father. |
| 요 8:28 | 이에 예수께서 이르시되 너희가 인자를 든 후에 내가 그인 줄을 알고 또 내가 스스로 아무 것도 하지 아니하고 오직 아버지께서 가르치신 대로 이런 것을 말하는 줄도 알리라 | Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. |
| 요 8:29 | 나를 보내신 이가 나와 함께 하시도다 나는 항상 그가 기뻐하시는 일을 행하므로 나를 혼자 두지 아니하셨느니라 | And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. |
| 요 8:30 | 이 말씀을 하시매 많은 사람이 믿더라 | As he spake these words, many believed on him. |
| 요 8:31 | 그러므로 예수께서 자기를 믿은 유대인들에게 이르시되 너희가 내 말에 거하면 참으로 내 제자가 되고 | Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; |
| 요 8:32 | 진리를 알지니 진리가 너희를 자유롭게 하리라 | And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. |
| 요 8:33 | 그들이 대답하되 우리가 아브라함의 자손이라 남의 종이 된 적이 없거늘 어찌하여 우리가 자유롭게 되리라 하느냐 | They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? |
| 요 8:34 | 예수께서 대답하시되 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 죄를 범하는 자마다 죄의 종이라 | Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. |
| 요 8:35 | 종은 영원히 집에 거하지 못하되 아들은 영원히 거하나니 | And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. |
| 요 8:36 | 그러므로 아들이 너희를 자유롭게 하면 너희가 참으로 자유로우리라 | If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. |
| 요 8:37 | 나도 너희가 아브라함의 자손인 줄 아노라 그러나 내 말이 너희 안에 있을 곳이 없으므로 나를 죽이려 하는도다 | I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. |
| 요 8:38 | 나는 내 아버지에게서 본 것을 말하고 너희는 너희 아비에게서 들은 것을 행하느니라 | I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. |
| 요 8:39 | 대답하여 이르되 우리 아버지는 아브라함이라 하니 예수께서 이르시되 너희가 아브라함의 자손이면 아브라함이 행한 일들을 할 것이거늘 | They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. |
| 요 8:40 | 지금 하나님께 들은 진리를 너희에게 말한 사람인 나를 죽이려 하는도다 아브라함은 이렇게 하지 아니하였느니라 | But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. |
| 요 8:41 | 너희는 너희 아비가 행한 일들을 하는도다 대답하되 우리가 음란한 데서 나지 아니하였고 아버지는 한 분뿐이시니 곧 하나님이시로다 | Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. |
| 요 8:42 | 예수께서 이르시되 하나님이 너희 아버지였으면 너희가 나를 사랑하였으리니 이는 내가 하나님께로부터 나와서 왔음이라 나는 스스로 온 것이 아니요 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것이니라 | Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. |
| 요 8:43 | 어찌하여 내 말을 깨닫지 못하느냐 이는 내 말을 들을 줄 알지 못함이로다 | Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. |
| 요 8:44 | 너희는 너희 아비 마귀에게서 났으니 너희 아비의 욕심대로 너희도 행하고자 하느니라 그는 처음부터 살인한 자요 진리가 그 속에 없으므로 진리에 서지 못하고 거짓을 말할 때마다 제 것으로 말하나니 이는 그가 거짓말쟁이요 거짓의 아비가 되었음이라 | Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. |
| 요 8:45 | 내가 진리를 말하므로 너희가 나를 믿지 아니하는도다 | And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. |
| 요 8:46 | 너희 중에 누가 나를 죄로 책잡겠느냐 내가 진리를 말하는데도 어찌하여 나를 믿지 아니하느냐 | Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? |
| 요 8:47 | 하나님께 속한 자는 하나님의 말씀을 듣나니 너희가 듣지 아니함은 하나님께 속하지 아니하였음이로다 | He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. |
| 요 8:48 | 유대인들이 대답하여 이르되 우리가 너를 사마리아 사람이라 또는 귀신이 들렸다 하는 말이 옳지 아니하냐 | Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? |
| 요 8:49 | 예수께서 대답하시되 나는 귀신 들린 것이 아니라 오직 내 아버지를 공경함이거늘 너희가 나를 무시하는도다 | Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. |
| 요 8:50 | 나는 내 영광을 구하지 아니하나 구하고 판단하시는 이가 계시니라 | And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. |
| 요 8:51 | 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 사람이 내 말을 지키면 영원히 죽음을 보지 아니하리라 | Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. |
| 요 8:52 | 유대인들이 이르되 지금 네가 귀신 들린 줄을 아노라 아브라함과 선지자들도 죽었거늘 네 말은 사람이 내 말을 지키면 영원히 죽음을 맛보지 아니하리라 하니 | Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. |
| 요 8:53 | 너는 이미 죽은 우리 조상 아브라함보다 크냐 또 선지자들도 죽었거늘 너는 너를 누구라 하느냐 | Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? |
| 요 8:54 | 예수께서 대답하시되 내가 내게 영광을 돌리면 내 영광이 아무 것도 아니거니와 내게 영광을 돌리시는 이는 내 아버지시니 곧 너희가 너희 하나님이라 칭하는 그이시라 | Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: |
| 요 8:55 | 너희는 그를 알지 못하되 나는 아노니 만일 내가 알지 못한다 하면 나도 너희 같이 거짓말쟁이가 되리라 나는 그를 알고 또 그의 말씀을 지키노라 | Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. |
| 요 8:56 | 너희 조상 아브라함은 나의 때 볼 것을 즐거워하다가 보고 기뻐하였느니라 | Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. |
| 요 8:57 | 유대인들이 이르되 네가 아직 오십 세도 못되었는데 아브라함을 보았느냐 | Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? |
| 요 8:58 | 예수께서 이르시되 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 아브라함이 나기 전부터 내가 있느니라 하시니 | Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. |
| 요 8:59 | 그들이 돌을 들어 치려 하거늘 예수께서 숨어 성전에서 나가시니라 | Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. |
