신 25:1 사람들 사이에 시비가 생겨 재판을 청하면 재판장은 그들을 재판하여 의인은 의롭다 하고 악인은 정죄할 것이며 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

 
신 25:2 악인에게 태형이 합당하면 재판장은 그를 엎드리게 하고 그 앞에서 그의 죄에 따라 수를 맞추어 때리게 하라 And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.

 
신 25:3 사십까지는 때리려니와 그것을 넘기지는 못할지니 만일 그것을 넘겨 매를 지나치게 때리면 네가 네 형제를 경히 여기는 것이 될까 하노라 Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

 
신 25:4 곡식 떠는 소에게 망을 씌우지 말지니라 Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

 
신 25:5 형제들이 함께 사는데 그 중 하나가 죽고 아들이 없거든 그 죽은 자의 아내는 나가서 타인에게 시집 가지 말 것이요 그의 남편의 형제가 그에게로 들어가서 그를 맞이하여 아내로 삼아 그의 남편의 형제 된 의무를 그에게 다 행할 것이요 If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.

 
신 25:6 그 여인이 낳은 첫 아들이 그 죽은 형제의 이름을 잇게 하여 그 이름이 이스라엘 중에서 끊어지지 않게 할 것이니라 And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.

 
신 25:7 그러나 그 사람이 만일 그 형제의 아내 맞이하기를 즐겨하지 아니하면 그 형제의 아내는 그 성문으로 장로들에게로 나아가서 말하기를 내 남편의 형제가 그의 형제의 이름을 이스라엘 중에 잇기를 싫어하여 남편의 형제 된 의무를 내게 행하지 아니하나이다 할 것이요 And if the man like not to take his brother’s wife, then let his brother’s wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband’s brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband’s brother.

 
신 25:8 그 성읍 장로들은 그를 불러다가 말할 것이며 그가 이미 정한 뜻대로 말하기를 내가 그 여자를 맞이하기를 즐겨하지 아니하노라 하면 Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak unto him: and if he stand to it, and say, I like not to take her;

 
신 25:9 그의 형제의 아내가 장로들 앞에서 그에게 나아가서 그의 발에서 신을 벗기고 그의 얼굴에 침을 뱉으며 이르기를 그의 형제의 집을 세우기를 즐겨 아니하는 자에게는 이같이 할 것이라 하고 Then shall his brother’s wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother’s house.

 
신 25:10 이스라엘 중에서 그의 이름을 신 벗김 받은 자의 집이라 부를 것이니라 And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe loosed.

 
신 25:11 두 사람이 서로 싸울 때에 한 사람의 아내가 그 치는 자의 손에서 그의 남편을 구하려 하여 가까이 가서 손을 벌려 그 사람의 음낭을 잡거든 When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:

 
신 25:12 너는 그 여인의 손을 찍어버릴 것이고 네 눈이 그를 불쌍히 여기지 말지니라 Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

 
신 25:13 너는 네 주머니에 두 종류의 저울추 곧 큰 것과 작은 것을 넣지 말 것이며 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.

 
신 25:14 네 집에 두 종류의 되 곧 큰 것과 작은 것을 두지 말 것이요 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.

 
신 25:15 오직 온전하고 공정한 저울추를 두며 온전하고 공정한 되를 둘 것이라 그리하면 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 땅에서 네 날이 길리라 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

 
신 25:16 이런 일들을 행하는 모든 자, 악을 행하는 모든 자는 네 하나님 여호와께 가증하니라 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.

 
신 25:17 너희는 애굽에서 나오는 길에 아말렉이 네게 행한 일을 기억하라 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

 
신 25:18 곧 그들이 너를 길에서 만나 네가 피곤할 때에 네 뒤에 떨어진 약한 자들을 쳤고 하나님을 두려워하지 아니하였느니라 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

 
신 25:19 그러므로 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 기업으로 주어 차지하게 하시는 땅에서 네 하나님 여호와께서 사방에 있는 모든 적군으로부터 네게 안식을 주실 때에 너는 천하에서 아말렉에 대한 기억을 지워버리라 너는 잊지 말지니라 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.
