소개 제사장들이 사용하는 건물에 대한 묘사. Ezekiel sees in the temple the chambers for the priests.

 
겔 42:1 그가 나를 데리고 밖으로 나가 북쪽 뜰로 가서 두 방에 이르니 그 두 방의 하나는 골방 앞 뜰을 향하였고 다른 하나는 북쪽 건물을 향하였는데 Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the north.

 
겔 42:2 그 방들의 자리의 길이는 백 척이요 너비는 쉰 척이며 그 문은 북쪽을 향하였고 Before the length of an hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits.

 
겔 42:3 그 방 삼층에 회랑들이 있는데 한 방의 회랑은 스무 척 되는 안뜰과 마주 대하였고 다른 한 방의 회랑은 바깥뜰 박석 깔린 곳과 마주 대하였으며 Over against the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and over against the pavement which was for the utter court, was gallery against gallery in three stories.

 
겔 42:4 그 두 방 사이에 통한 길이 있어 너비는 열 척이요 길이는 백 척이며 그 문들은 북쪽을 향하였으며 And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north.

 
겔 42:5 그 위층의 방은 가장 좁으니 이는 회랑들로 말미암아 아래층과 가운데 층보다 위층이 더 줄어짐이라 Now the upper chambers were shorter: for the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middlemost of the building.

 
겔 42:6 그 방은 삼층인데도 뜰의 기둥 같은 기둥이 없으므로 그 위층이 아래층과 가운데 층보다 더욱 좁아짐이더라 For they were in three stories, but had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the building was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.

 
겔 42:7 그 한 방의 바깥 담 곧 뜰의 담과 마주 대한 담의 길이는 쉰 척이니 And the wall that was without over against the chambers, toward the utter court on the forepart of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.

 
겔 42:8 바깥뜰로 향한 방의 길이는 쉰 척이며 성전 앞을 향한 방은 백 척이며 For the length of the chambers that were in the utter court was fifty cubits: and, lo, before the temple were an hundred cubits.

 
겔 42:9 이 방들 아래에 동쪽에서 들어가는 통행구가 있으니 곧 바깥뜰에서 들어가는 통행구더라 And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the utter court.

 
겔 42:10 남쪽 골방 뜰 맞은쪽과 남쪽 건물 맞은쪽에도 방 둘이 있는데 The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate place, and over against the building.

 
겔 42:11 그 두 방 사이에 길이 있고 그 방들의 모양은 북쪽 방 같고 그 길이와 너비도 같으며 그 출입구와 문도 그와 같으며 And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they: and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.

 
겔 42:12 이 남쪽 방에 출입하는 문이 있는데 담 동쪽 길 어귀에 있더라 And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.

 
겔 42:13 그가 내게 이르되 좌우 골방 뜰 앞 곧 북쪽과 남쪽에 있는 방들은 거룩한 방이라 여호와를 가까이 하는 제사장들이 지성물을 거기에서 먹을 것이며 지성물 곧 소제와 속죄제와 속건제의 제물을 거기 둘 것이니 이는 거룩한 곳이라 Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.

 
겔 42:14 제사장의 의복은 거룩하므로 제사장이 성소에 들어갔다가 나올 때에 바로 바깥뜰로 가지 못하고 수종드는 그 의복을 그 방에 두고 다른 옷을 입고 백성의 뜰로 나갈 것이니라 하더라 When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.

 
겔 42:15 그가 안에 있는 성전 측량하기를 마친 후에 나를 데리고 동쪽을 향한 문의 길로 나가서 사방 담을 측량하는데 Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.

 
겔 42:16 그가 측량하는 장대 곧 그 장대로 동쪽을 측량하니 오백 척이요 He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.

 
겔 42:17 그 장대로 북쪽을 측량하니 오백 척이요 He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.

 
겔 42:18 그 장대로 남쪽을 측량하니 오백 척이요 He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed.

 
겔 42:19 서쪽으로 돌이켜 그 장대로 측량하니 오백 척이라 He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

 
겔 42:20 그가 이같이 그 사방을 측량하니 그 사방 담 안 마당의 길이가 오백 척이며 너비가 오백 척이라 그 담은 거룩한 것과 속된 것을 구별하는 것이더라 He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.
