| 이더 4:1 | 또한 주께서 야렛의 형제에게 명하사 주의 면전에서 물러가 산을 내려가서 그가 본 것을 기록하게 하시되, 주가 십자가 위에 들리시기까지 그것이 사람의 자녀들에게 나아감을 금하셨으니, 이 까닭에 모사이야 왕은 이를 간직하고 그리스도께서 자기 백성에게 자신을 보이시기까지 이것이 세상에 나아가지 않게 하였더라. | And the Lord commanded the brother of Jared to go down out of the mount from the presence of the Lord, and write the things which he had seen; and they were forbidden to come unto the children of men until after that he should be lifted up upon the cross; and for this cause did king Mosiah keep them, that they should not come unto the world until after Christ should show himself unto his people. |
| 이더 4:2 | 그러나 그리스도께서 진실로 자기 백성에게 자신을 보이신 후에 그는 이 일을 드러낼 것을 명하셨더라. | And after Christ truly had showed himself unto his people he commanded that they should be made manifest. |
| 이더 4:3 | 또 이제 그 후에 그들이 모두 믿지 않음에 빠져들었고, 레이맨인들 외에는 아무도 없으되, 그들이 그리스도의 복음을 배척한지라, 그러므로 나는 이를 다시 땅에 감추라는 명령을 받았느니라. | And now, after that, they have all dwindled in unbelief; and there is none save it be the Lamanites, and they have rejected the gospel of Christ; therefore I am commanded that I should hide them up again in the earth. |
| 이더 4:4 | 보라, 내가 이 판에 야렛의 형제가 본 바로 그 일을 기록하였노니, 야렛의 형제에게 나타내신 바 된 일보다 더 큰 일이 결코 나타내신 바 되지 아니하였도다. | Behold, I have written upon these plates the very things which the brother of Jared saw; and there never were greater things made manifest than those which were made manifest unto the brother of Jared. |
| 이더 4:5 | 그리하여 주께서 내게 명하사 이를 기록하게 하시므로, 내가 이를 기록하였으며, 또 주께서 내게 명하사 이를 인봉하게 하시고, 또한 명하시기를 그 해석도 인봉하라 하신지라, 그러므로 내가 주의 계명을 좇아 해석기들을 인봉하였도다. | Wherefore the Lord hath commanded me to write them; and I have written them. And he commanded me that I should seal them up; and he also hath commanded that I should seal up the interpretation thereof; wherefore I have sealed up the interpreters, according to the commandment of the Lord. |
| 이더 4:6 | 이는 주께서 내게 이르시되, 이방인들이 그들의 죄악을 회개하여 주 앞에 정결하게 되는 날까지 이것은 이방인들에게 나아가지 아니할 것이라 하셨음이라. | For the Lord said unto me: They shall not go forth unto the Gentiles until the day that they shall repent of their iniquity, and become clean before the Lord. |
| 이더 4:7 | 주께서 말씀하시느니라, 그러나 그들이 내 안에서 성결하게 될 수 있도록, 그들이 참으로 야렛의 형제가 행한 것같이 나를 믿는 신앙을 행사하는 그 날에, 그때 내가 야렛의 형제가 본 것을 그들에게 나타내어 나의 모든 계시를 그들에게 밝혀 주리라. 하나님의 아들이시요 하늘과 땅과 그 가운데 있는 모든 것의 아버지 되시는 예수 그리스도께서 말씀하시느니라. | And in that day that they shall exercise faith in me, saith the Lord, even as the brother of Jared did, that they may become sanctified in me, then will I manifest unto them the things which the brother of Jared saw, even to the unfolding unto them all my revelations, saith Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of the heavens and of the earth, and all things that in them are. |
| 이더 4:8 | 그러므로 주의 말씀을 대적하여 다툴 자는 저주를 받을지어다. 또 이러한 것을 부인할 자도 저주를 받을지어다. 이는 그들에게 내가 더 큰 일들을 보이지 아니할 것임이니라. 예수 그리스도께서 말씀하시느니라. 이는 내가 곧 말하는 그임이니라. | And he that will contend against the word of the Lord, let him be accursed; and he that shall deny these things, let him be accursed; for unto them will I show no greater things, saith Jesus Christ; for I am he who speaketh. |
| 이더 4:9 | 이에 나의 명령에 하늘이 열리기도 하고 닫히기도 하며, 나의 말에 땅이 진동하며, 나의 명령에 땅의 주민들이 불에 없어지듯 멸망하리라. | And at my command the heavens are opened and are shut; and at my word the earth shall shake; and at my command the inhabitants thereof shall pass away, even so as by fire. |
| 이더 4:10 | 또 나의 말을 믿지 아니하는 자는 나의 제자들을 믿지 아니하나니, 만일 내가 말하는 것이 아니거든 너희가 판단하라. 이는 마지막 날에 말하는 이가 나인 줄을 너희가 알 것임이니라. | And he that believeth not my words believeth not my disciples; and if it so be that I do not speak, judge ye; for ye shall know that it is I that speaketh, at the last day. |
| 이더 4:11 | 그러나 내가 말한 이 일들을 믿는 자에게는, 내가 내 영의 나타냄으로 방문하리니, 그가 알고 증거할 것이라. 이는 나의 영으로 말미암아 저가 이러한 것들이 참된 줄을 알 것임이니, 이는 이러한 것들이 사람들에게 선을 행하도록 설득함이니라. | But he that believeth these things which I have spoken, him will I visit with the manifestations of my Spirit, and he shall know and bear record. For because of my Spirit he shall know that these things are true; for it persuadeth men to do good. |
| 이더 4:12 | 또 사람들에게 선을 행하도록 설득하는 것은 무엇이든지 내게로부터이니, 나에게서가 아니고는 선이 아무에게서도 나지 아니함이니라. 내가 곧 사람들을 모든 선으로 인도하는 자니, 내 말을 믿지 아니하는 자는 나를 - 곧 내가 존재함을 믿지 아니할 것이요, 나를 믿지 아니하는 자는 나를 보내신 아버지를 믿지 아니하리라. 보라, 나는 아버지라, 나는 세상의 빛이요, 생명이요, 진리니라. | And whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do good is of me; for good cometh of none save it be of me. I am the same that leadeth men to all good; he that will not believe my words will not believe me-that I am; and he that will not believe me will not believe the Father who sent me. For behold, I am the Father, I am the light, and the life, and the truth of the world. |
| 이더 4:13 | 너희 이방인들아, 내게로 오라. 그리하면 내가 더 큰 일, 곧 믿지 않음으로 인하여 감추어진 지식을 너희에게 보여주리라. | Come unto me, O ye Gentiles, and I will show unto you the greater things, the knowledge which is hid up because of unbelief. |
| 이더 4:14 | 너희 이스라엘의 집이여, 내게로 오라. 그리하면 세상의 기초가 놓이던 때로부터 아버지께서 얼마나 큰 일들을 너희를 위하여 간직해 두셨는지 너희에게 나타내리니, 그것이 이제까지 너희에게 이르지 아니하였음은 믿지 않음으로 인함이니라. | Come unto me, O ye house of Israel, and it shall be made manifest unto you how great things the Father hath laid up for you, from the foundation of the world; and it hath not come unto you, because of unbelief. |
| 이더 4:15 | 보라, 너희로 너희의 참담한 간악함의 상태와 마음의 완악함과 생각의 눈먼 데에 머물게 하였던 믿지 않음의 휘장을 너희가 찢어 버리는 그때, 세상의 기초가 놓이던 때로부터 너희에게 감추어져 온 크고도 기이한 일들이 - 참으로 너희가 상한 마음과 통회하는 심령으로 내 이름으로 아버지를 부르는 그때, 이스라엘의 집이여, 아버지께서 너희 조상들에게 세우신 성약을 기억하셨음을 너희가 알게 될 것이라. | Behold, when ye shall rend that veil of unbelief which doth cause you to remain in your awful state of wickedness, and hardness of heart, and blindness of mind, then shall the great and marvelous things which have been hid up from the foundation of the world from you-yea, when ye shall call upon the Father in my name, with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, then shall ye know that the Father hath remembered the covenant which he made unto your fathers, O house of Israel. |
| 이더 4:16 | 그때 내가 나의 종 요한으로 하여금 기록하게 한 나의 계시가 만민의 눈에 밝혀지리라. 기억하라, 너희가 이러한 것을 보거든 너희는 그것이 과연 나타날 때가 가까운 줄을 알지니라. | And then shall my revelations which I have caused to be written by my servant John be unfolded in the eyes of all the people. Remember, when ye see these things, ye shall know that the time is at hand that they shall be made manifest in very deed. |
| 이더 4:17 | 그러므로 너희가 이 기록을 받게 될 때 너희는 이 온 땅 위에 아버지의 일이 시작된 줄을 알라. | Therefore, when ye shall receive this record ye may know that the work of the Father has commenced upon all the face of the land. |
| 이더 4:18 | 그러므로 너희 땅의 모든 끝이여 회개하라. 그리고 내게로 와서, 나의 복음을 믿고 내 이름으로 침례를 받으라. 이는 믿고 침례를 받는 자는 구원을 얻으려니와, 믿지 아니하는 자는 정죄를 받을 것임이라. 또 내 이름을 믿는 자에게는 표적이 따르리라. | Therefore, repent all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me, and believe in my gospel, and be baptized in my name; for he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned; and signs shall follow them that believe in my name. |
| 이더 4:19 | 또 마지막 날에 나의 이름에 충실한 자로 밝혀진 그는 복이 있나니, 이는 그가 들리워 세상의 기초가 놓이던 때로부터 그를 위하여 예비된 나라에 거하게 될 것임이니라. 볼지어다 이를 말한 자는 나이니라. 아멘. | And blessed is he that is found faithful unto my name at the last day, for he shall be lifted up to dwell in the kingdom prepared for him from the foundation of the world. And behold it is I that hath spoken it. Amen. |
