| 이더 15:4 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 그가 시즈에게 서한을 써서 백성들을 살려줄 것을 그에게 요청하고, 그리하면 백성들의 목숨을 위하여 나라를 넘겨주겠다 하였더라. | And it came to pass that he wrote an epistle unto Shiz, desiring him that he would spare the people, and he would give up the kingdom for the sake of the lives of the people. |

| 이더 15:7 | 이에 코리앤투머가 자신이 바야흐로 엎드러지려 함을 보고 시즈의 백성 앞에서 다시 도망하였더라. | And when Coriantumr saw that he was about to fall he fled again before the people of Shiz. |
| 이더 15:8 | 또 이렇게 되었나니 그가 리플리앤쿰 물에 이르렀으니, 이는 해석한즉, 크다, 즉 모든 것보다 뛰어나다 함이라, 그리하여 그들이 이 물에 이르러서 그들의 장막을 쳤고, 시즈도 자기의 장막을 그 가까이에 친지라. 그러므로 다음 날 그들이 싸우게 되었더라. | And it came to pass that he came to the waters of Ripliancum, which, by interpretation, is large, or to exceed all; wherefore, when they came to these waters they pitched their tents; and Shiz also pitched his tents near unto them; and therefore on the morrow they did come to battle. |

| 이더 15:10 | 그러나 이렇게 되었나니 코리앤투머의 군대가 시즈의 군대를 압박하여 저들을 이기고, 저들로 자기들 앞에서 도망하게 한지라. 저들이 남쪽으로 도망하여 오개드라 하는 곳에 저들의 장막을 쳤더라. | And it came to pass that the armies of Coriantumr did press upon the armies of Shiz that they beat them, that they caused them to flee before them; and they did flee southward, and did pitch their tents in a place which was called Ogath. |

| 이더 15:16 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 밤이 되매 그들이 지쳐 각자의 진영으로 물러갔고, 그들이 그 진영으로 물러간 후에는 그들 백성의 죽임 당한 자를 잃음으로 인하여 울부짖으며 애곡하기 시작하였으니, 그들의 부르짖음과 그들의 울부짖음과 애곡함이 심히 컸던지라, 그 소리가 심히 공기를 찢었더라. | And it came to pass that when it was night they were weary, and retired to their camps; and after they had retired to their camps they took up a howling and a lamentation for the loss of the slain of their people; and so great were their cries, their howlings and lamentations, that they did rend the air exceedingly. |
| 이더 15:17 | 또 이렇게 되었나니 다음 날 그들이 다시 싸우러 가매, 그 날이 크고 두려웠으나 그럼에도 그들이 이기지 못하고 다시 밤이 오매 그들 백성의 죽임 당한 자들을 잃음으로 인한 그들의 부르짖음과 그들의 울부짖음과 그들의 애곡이 공기를 찢었더라. | And it came to pass that on the morrow they did go again to battle, and great and terrible was that day; nevertheless, they conquered not, and when the night came again they did rend the air with their cries, and their howlings, and their mournings, for the loss of the slain of their people. |
| 이더 15:18 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 코리앤투머가 다시 시즈에게 서한을 써서, 저에게 다시 싸우러 오지 말고, 나라를 취하고 백성들의 목숨을 살려 줄 것을 요청하였더라. | And it came to pass that Coriantumr wrote again an epistle unto Shiz, desiring that he would not come again to battle, but that he would take the kingdom, and spare the lives of the people. |
| 이더 15:19 | 그러나 보라, 주의 영은 그들과 함께 애쓰시기를 이미 그치셨고, 사탄이 백성의 마음을 온전히 다스리는 권능을 가졌으니, 이는 그들이 그들 마음의 완악함과 그들 생각의 눈 먼 데로 내어준 바 되어 멸망당하게 되었음이라. 그리하여 그들이 다시 싸우러 갔더라. | But behold, the Spirit of the Lord had ceased striving with them, and Satan had full power over the hearts of the people; for they were given up unto the hardness of their hearts, and the blindness of their minds that they might be destroyed; wherefore they went again to battle. |
| 이더 15:20 | 또 이렇게 되었나니 그들이 그 날 온종일 싸웠고, 밤이 오매 그들은 그들의 칼을 베고 잤더라. | And it came to pass that they fought all that day, and when the night came they slept upon their swords. |
| 이더 15:21 | 또 다음 날에도 그들은 참으로 밤이 오기까지 싸웠더라. | And on the morrow they fought even until the night came. |
| 이더 15:22 | 그리고 밤이 오매 그들은 마치 포도주에 취한 사람같이 노여움에 취하여, 다시 그들의 칼을 베고 잤더라. | And when the night came they were drunken with anger, even as a man who is drunken with wine; and they slept again upon their swords. |
| 이더 15:23 | 또 다음 날에 그들이 다시 싸웠고, 밤이 오매 그들이 모두 칼에 엎드러졌고, 다만 코리앤투머의 백성 오십이 명과 시즈의 백성 육십구 명만이 있었더라. | And on the morrow they fought again; and when the night came they had all fallen by the sword save it were fifty and two of the people of Coriantumr, and sixty and nine of the people of Shiz. |
| 이더 15:24 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 그들이 그 밤에 그들의 칼을 베고 자고, 다음날 그들이 다시 싸우되, 그 날 종일 그들의 칼과 그들의 방패를 가지고 그들의 힘을 다하여 싸웠더라. | And it came to pass that they slept upon their swords that night, and on the morrow they fought again, and they contended in their might with their swords and with their shields, all that day. |
| 이더 15:25 | 또 밤이 오매 시즈의 백성 삼십이 명과 코리앤투머의 백성 이십칠 명이 남았더라. | And when the night came there were thirty and two of the people of Shiz, and twenty and seven of the people of Coriantumr. |
| 이더 15:26 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 그들이 먹고 자고, 다음 날 죽을 준비를 하였으니, 그들은 사람의 힘으로는 크고 용맹한 사람들이더라. | And it came to pass that they ate and slept, and prepared for death on the morrow. And they were large and mighty men as to the strength of men. |
| 이더 15:27 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 그들이 세 시간 동안 싸우고 피를 잃어 기진하였더라. | And it came to pass that they fought for the space of three hours, and they fainted with the loss of blood. |
| 이더 15:28 | 그리고 이렇게 되었나니 코리앤투머의 병사들이 걸을 수 있을 만큼 충분한 힘을 얻었을 때, 자기들의 생명을 위하여 바야흐로 도망하고자 하였으나, 보라, 시즈가 일어났고, 그의 병사들도 일어나더니, 저가 그 분노 중에 맹세하되 코리앤투머를 죽이든지 아니면 자기가 칼에 죽을 것을 맹세하였더라. | And it came to pass that when the men of Coriantumr had received sufficient strength that they could walk, they were about to flee for their lives; but behold, Shiz arose, and also his men, and he swore in his wrath that he would slay Coriantumr or he would perish by the sword. |
| 이더 15:29 | 그리하여 저가 그들을 추격하더니, 다음 날 그들을 따라잡으매, 그들이 다시 칼로 싸웠더라. 또 이렇게 되었나니 코리앤투머와 시즈를 제외하고 그들 모두가 칼에 엎드러졌을 때, 보라, 시즈가 피를 잃어 기진하였더라. | Wherefore, he did pursue them, and on the morrow he did overtake them; and they fought again with the sword. And it came to pass that when they had all fallen by the sword, save it were Coriantumr and Shiz, behold Shiz had fainted with the loss of blood. |
| 이더 15:30 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 코리앤투머가 자기 칼을 의지하고, 잠시 쉰 후에, 시즈의 머리를 쳐서 베었느니라. | And it came to pass that when Coriantumr had leaned upon his sword, that he rested a little, he smote off the head of Shiz. |
| 이더 15:31 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 그가 시즈의 머리를 쳐서 벤 후에, 시즈가 그 손을 짚고 일어나다가 엎드러져서는 숨을 쉬려고 애쓰다가 죽었더라. | And it came to pass that after he had smitten off the head of Shiz, that Shiz raised up on his hands and fell; and after that he had struggled for breath, he died. |
| 이더 15:32 | 또 이렇게 되었나니 코리앤투머도 땅에 엎드러져서, 마치 생명이 없는 자같이 되었던지라. | And it came to pass that Coriantumr fell to the earth, and became as if he had no life. |
| 이더 15:33 | 이에 주께서 이더에게 말씀하시며 그에게 이르시되, 나아가라 하시었으매, 그가 나아가 주의 말씀이 다 이루어진 것을 보고, 그가 자기의 기록을 마무리하고, (그 백분의 일도 나는 기록하지 아니하였느니라) 림하이의 백성들이 발견하였을 때의 모양으로 그것을 감추었더라. | And the Lord spake unto Ether, and said unto him: Go forth. And he went forth, and beheld that the words of the Lord had all been fulfilled; and he finished his record; (and the hundredth part I have not written) and he hid them in a manner that the people of Limhi did find them. |
| 이더 15:34 | 이제 이더가 기록한 마지막 말이 이러하니라. 내가 하나님의 나라에서 구원받았을진대, 주께서 나로 변화되게 하시든지, 아니면 육체로 주의 뜻을 겪게 하시든지 상관없도다. 아멘. | Now the last words which are written by Ether are these: Whether the Lord will that I be translated, or that I suffer the will of the Lord in the flesh, it mattereth not, if it so be that I am saved in the kingdom of God. Amen. |
