| 이더 5:1 | 그리고 이제 나 모로나이는 내 기억을 좇아 내게 명하신 말씀을 기록하였고, 또 내가 인봉한 것을 너희에게 일렀은즉, 그러므로 이에 손을 대어 번역하려 하지 말라. 이는 그 일이 너희에게는 금지되었음이니, 다만 차차 그 일이 하나님 안에 있는 지혜일 때 허락되리라. | And now I, Moroni, have written the words which were commanded me, according to my memory; and I have told you the things which I have sealed up; therefore touch them not in order that ye may translate; for that thing is forbidden you, except by and by it shall be wisdom in God. |
| 이더 5:2 | 또 보라, 너희는 이 기록을 드러내도록 돕게 될 자들에게 이 판들을 보여줄 수 있는 특권을 갖게 되리라. | And behold, ye may be privileged that ye may show the plates unto those who shall assist to bring forth this work; |
| 이더 5:3 | 또 세 사람에게 이 판들이 하나님의 권능으로 보여질 것이라. 그리하여 그들은 이러한 것들이 참됨을 분명히 알게 되리라. | And unto three shall they be shown by the power of God; wherefore they shall know of a surety that these things are true. |
| 이더 5:4 | 또 세 증인의 입으로 이 일이 확립되리니, 세 증인의 증거와, 하나님의 권능과 또한 아버지와 아들과 성신이 증거하시는 그의 말씀을 보일 이 기록이 - 이 모두가 마지막 날에 세상을 대하는 증거가 될 것이라. | And in the mouth of three witnesses shall these things be established; and the testimony of three, and this work, in the which shall be shown forth the power of God and also his word, of which the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost bear record-and all this shall stand as a testimony against the world at the last day. |
| 이더 5:5 | 그러한즉 만일 그들이 회개하여 예수의 이름으로 아버지께 나아오면, 그들이 하나님의 나라에 영접될 것이니라. | And if it so be that they repent and come unto the Father in the name of Jesus, they shall be received into the kingdom of God. |
| 이더 5:6 | 그리고 이제 내게 이 같은 일을 전할 권세가 없다면, 너희가 판단하라. 이는 너희가 나를 볼 때에 내가 권세를 가졌음을 너희가 알 것임이요, 우리가 마지막 날에 하나님 앞에 설 것임이니라. 아멘. | And now, if I have no authority for these things, judge ye; for ye shall know that I have authority when ye shall see me, and we shall stand before God at the last day. Amen. |
