소개	모세가 가나안땅을 정탐하도록 12명을 보냄. 그들중 10명은 부정적인 보고를 함.	Moses sends twelve spies to search land of Canaan—Ten of them bring an evil report, telling only of the strength of its inhabitants.
민 13:1	여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
민 13:2	사람을 보내어 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 주는 가나안 땅을 정탐하게 하되 그들의 조상의 가문 각 지파 중에서 지휘관 된 자 한 사람씩 보내라	Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.
민 13:3	모세가 여호와의 명령을 따라 바란 광야에서 그들을 보냈으니 그들은 다 이스라엘 자손의 수령 된 사람이라	And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
민 13:4	그들의 이름은 이러하니라 르우벤 지파에서는 삭굴의 아들 삼무아요	And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.
민 13:5	시므온 지파에서는 호리의 아들 사밧이요	Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.
민 13:6	유다 지파에서는 여분네의 아들 갈렙이요	Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
민 13:7	잇사갈 지파에서는 요셉의 아들 이갈이요	Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.
민 13:8	에브라임 지파에서는 눈의 아들 호세아요	Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.
민 13:9	베냐민 지파에서는 라부의 아들 발디요	Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.
민 13:10	스불론 지파에서는 소디의 아들 갓디엘이요	Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.
민 13:11	요셉 지파 곧 므낫세 지파에서는 수시의 아들 갓디요	Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.
민 13:12	단 지파에서는 그말리의 아들 암미엘이요	Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.
민 13:13	아셀 지파에서는 미가엘의 아들 스둘이요	Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.
민 13:14	납달리 지파에서는 웝시의 아들 나비요	Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.
민 13:15	갓 지파에서는 마기의 아들 그우엘이니	Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.
민 13:16	이는 모세가 땅을 정탐하러 보낸 자들의 이름이라 모세가 눈의 아들 호세아를 여호수아라 불렀더라	These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.
민 13:17	모세가 가나안 땅을 정탐하러 그들을 보내며 이르되 너희는 네겝 길로 행하여 산지로 올라가서	And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
민 13:18	그 땅이 어떠한지 정탐하라 곧 그 땅 거민이 강한지 약한지 많은지 적은지와	And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
민 13:19	그들이 사는 땅이 좋은지 나쁜지와 사는 성읍이 진영인지 산성인지와	And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
민 13:20	토지가 비옥한지 메마른지 나무가 있는지 없는지를 탐지하라 담대하라 또 그 땅의 실과를 가져오라 하니 그 때는 포도가 처음 익을 즈음이었더라	And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
민 13:21	이에 그들이 올라가서 땅을 정탐하되 신 광야에서부터 하맛 어귀 르홉에 이르렀고	So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.
민 13:22	또 네겝으로 올라가서 헤브론에 이르렀으니 헤브론은 애굽 소안보다 칠 년 전에 세운 곳이라 그 곳에 아낙 자손 아히만과 세새와 달매가 있었더라	And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
민 13:23	또 에스골 골짜기에 이르러 거기서 포도송이가 달린 가지를 베어 둘이 막대기에 꿰어 메고 또 석류와 무화과를 따니라	And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
민 13:24	이스라엘 자손이 거기서 포도를 베었으므로 그 곳을 에스골 골짜기라 불렀더라	The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.
민 13:25	사십 일 동안 땅을 정탐하기를 마치고 돌아와	And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
민 13:26	바란 광야 가데스에 이르러 모세와 아론과 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 나아와 그들에게 보고하고 그 땅의 과일을 보이고	And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
민 13:27	모세에게 말하여 이르되 당신이 우리를 보낸 땅에 간즉 과연 그 땅에 젖과 꿀이 흐르는데 이것은 그 땅의 과일이니이다	And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
민 13:28	그러나 그 땅 거주민은 강하고 성읍은 견고하고 심히 클 뿐 아니라 거기서 아낙 자손을 보았으며	Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
민 13:29	아말렉인은 남방 땅에 거주하고 헷인과 여부스인과 아모리인은 산지에 거주하고 가나안인은 해변과 요단 가에 거주하더이다	The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
민 13:30	갈렙이 모세 앞에서 백성을 조용하게 하고 이르되 우리가 곧 올라가서 그 땅을 취하자 능히 이기리라 하나	And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
민 13:31	그와 함께 올라갔던 사람들은 이르되 우리는 능히 올라가서 그 백성을 치지 못하리라 그들은 우리보다 강하니라 하고	But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
민 13:32	이스라엘 자손 앞에서 그 정탐한 땅을 악평하여 이르되 우리가 두루 다니며 정탐한 땅은 그 거주민을 삼키는 땅이요 거기서 본 모든 백성은 신장이 장대한 자들이며	And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
민 13:33	거기서 네피림 후손인 아낙 자손의 거인들을 보았나니 우리는 스스로 보기에도 메뚜기 같으니 그들이 보기에도 그와 같았을 것이니라	And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
