소개	이스라엘 백성들이 대적해오는 가나안인들을 멸함. 주께서 원망하는 백성들로인해 불뱀을 보내심. 모세가 구리뱀을 만들어 세우고 쳐다보는 자마다 구원받도록 함. 이스라엘 백성들이 아모리인들을 파하고 바산백성들을 멸하여 그 땅을 차지함.	Israel destroys those Canaanites who fight against her—She is plagued with fiery serpents—Moses lifts up a serpent of brass to save those who look thereon—Israel defeats Amorites and destroys people of Bashan and occupies their lands.
민 21:1	네겝에 거주하는 가나안 사람 곧 아랏의 왕이 이스라엘이 아다림 길로 온다 함을 듣고 이스라엘을 쳐서 그 중 몇 사람을 사로잡은지라	And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.
민 21:2	이스라엘이 여호와께 서원하여 이르되 주께서 만일 이 백성을 내 손에 넘기시면 내가 그들의 성읍을 다 멸하리이다	And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.
민 21:3	여호와께서 이스라엘의 목소리를 들으시고 가나안 사람을 그들의 손에 넘기시매 그들과 그들의 성읍을 다 멸하니라 그러므로 그 곳 이름을 호르마라 하였더라	And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.
민 21:4	백성이 호르 산에서 출발하여 홍해 길을 따라 에돔 땅을 우회하려 하였다가 길로 말미암아 백성의 마음이 상하니라	And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
민 21:5	백성이 하나님과 모세를 향하여 원망하되 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 인도해 내어 이 광야에서 죽게 하는가 이 곳에는 먹을 것도 없고 물도 없도다 우리 마음이 이 하찮은 음식을 싫어하노라 하매	And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
민 21:6	여호와께서 불뱀들을 백성 중에 보내어 백성을 물게 하시므로 이스라엘 백성 중에 죽은 자가 많은지라	And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
민 21:7	백성이 모세에게 이르러 말하되 우리가 여호와와 당신을 향하여 원망함으로 범죄하였사오니 여호와께 기도하여 이 뱀들을 우리에게서 떠나게 하소서 모세가 백성을 위하여 기도하매	Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
민 21:8	여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 불뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 매달아라 물린 자마다 그것을 보면 살리라	And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
민 21:9	모세가 놋뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 다니 뱀에게 물린 자가 놋뱀을 쳐다본즉 모두 살더라	And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
민 21:10	이스라엘 자손이 그 곳을 떠나 오봇에 진을 쳤고	And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.
민 21:11	오봇을 떠나 모압 앞쪽 해 돋는 쪽 광야 이예아바림에 진을 쳤고	And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ije-abarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.
민 21:12	거기를 떠나 세렛 골짜기에 진을 쳤고	From thence they removed, and pitched in the valley of Zared.
민 21:13	거기를 떠나 아모리인의 영토에서 흘러 나와서 광야에 이른 아르논 강 건너편에 진을 쳤으니 아르논은 모압과 아모리 사이에서 모압의 경계가 된 곳이라	From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that cometh out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.
민 21:14	이러므로 여호와의 전쟁기에 일렀으되 수바의 와헙과 아르논 골짜기와	Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,
민 21:15	모든 골짜기의 비탈은 아르 고을을 향하여 기울어지고 모압의 경계에 닿았도다 하였더라	And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.
민 21:16	거기서 브엘에 이르니 브엘은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하시기를 백성을 모으라 내가 그들에게 물을 주리라 하시던 우물이라	And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.
민 21:17	그 때에 이스라엘이 노래하여 이르되 우물물아 솟아나라 너희는 그것을 노래하라	Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it:
민 21:18	이 우물은 지휘관들이 팠고 백성의 귀인들이 규와 지팡이로 판 것이로다 하였더라 그들은 광야에서 맛다나에 이르렀고	The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:
민 21:19	맛다나에서 나할리엘에 이르렀고 나할리엘에서 바못에 이르렀고	And from Mattanah to Nahaliel: and from Nahaliel to Bamoth:
민 21:20	바못에서 모압 들에 있는 골짜기에 이르러 광야가 내려다 보이는 비스가 산 꼭대기에 이르렀더라	And from Bamoth in the valley, that is in the country of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looketh toward Jeshimon.
민 21:21	이스라엘이 아모리 왕 시혼에게 사신을 보내어 이르되	And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,
민 21:22	우리에게 당신의 땅을 지나가게 하소서 우리가 밭에든지 포도원에든지 들어가지 아니하며 우물물도 마시지 아니하고 당신의 지경에서 다 나가기까지 왕의 큰길로만 지나가리이다 하나	Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king’s high way, until we be past thy borders.
민 21:23	시혼이 이스라엘이 자기 영토로 지나감을 용납하지 아니하고 그의 백성을 다 모아 이스라엘을 치러 광야로 나와서 야하스에 이르러 이스라엘을 치므로	And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.
민 21:24	이스라엘이 칼날로 그들을 쳐서 무찌르고 그 땅을 아르논에서부터 얍복까지 점령하여 암몬 자손에게까지 미치니 암몬 자손의 경계는 견고하더라	And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.
민 21:25	이스라엘이 이같이 그 모든 성읍을 빼앗고 그 아모리인의 모든 성읍 헤스본과 그 모든 촌락에 거주하였으니	And Israel took all these cities: and Israel dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all the villages thereof.
민 21:26	헤스본은 아모리인의 왕 시혼의 도성이라 시혼이 그 전 모압 왕을 치고 그의 모든 땅을 아르논까지 그의 손에서 빼앗았더라	For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto Arnon.
민 21:27	그러므로 시인이 읊어 이르되 너희는 헤스본으로 올지어다 시혼의 성을 세워 견고히 할지어다	Wherefore they that speak in proverbs say, Come into Heshbon, let the city of Sihon be built and prepared:
민 21:28	헤스본에서 불이 나오며 시혼의 성에서 화염이 나와서 모압의 아르를 삼키며 아르논 높은 곳의 주인을 멸하였도다	For there is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it hath consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords of the high places of Arnon.
민 21:29	모압아 네가 화를 당하였도다 그모스의 백성아 네가 멸망하였도다 그가 그의 아들들을 도망하게 하였고 그의 딸들을 아모리인의 왕 시혼의 포로가 되게 하였도다	Woe to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of Chemosh: he hath given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.
민 21:30	우리가 그들을 쏘아서 헤스본을 디본까지 멸하였고 메드바에 가까운 노바까지 황폐하게 하였도다 하였더라	We have shot at them; Heshbon is perished even unto Dibon, and we have laid them waste even unto Nophah, which reacheth unto Medeba.
민 21:31	이스라엘이 아모리인의 땅에 거주하였더니	Thus Israel dwelt in the land of the Amorites.
민 21:32	모세가 또 사람을 보내어 야셀을 정탐하게 하고 그 촌락들을 빼앗고 그 곳에 있던 아모리인을 몰아 내었더라	And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there.
민 21:33	그들이 돌이켜 바산 길로 올라가매 바산 왕 옥이 그의 백성을 다 거느리고 나와서 그들을 맞아 에드레이에서 싸우려 하는지라	And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he, and all his people, to the battle at Edrei.
민 21:34	여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 그를 두려워하지 말라 내가 그와 그의 백성과 그의 땅을 네 손에 넘겼나니 너는 헤스본에 거주하던 아모리인의 왕 시혼에게 행한 것 같이 그에게도 행할지니라	And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
민 21:35	이에 그와 그의 아들들과 그의 백성을 다 쳐서 한 사람도 남기지 아니하고 그의 땅을 점령하였더라	So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.
