소개	(그리스도께서는 사람들의 영혼을 변화시킬 권능을 가지고 계심.)	Christ has power to change men’s souls.
조롬 7:5	우리가 육신에 있을 때에는 율법으로 말미암지 아니한 죄의 정욕이 우리 지체 중에 역사하여 우리로 사망에 이르게 하는 열매를 맺게 하였더니	For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were not according to the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
조롬 7:6	이제는 우리가 율법에 대하여서는 죽었으므로 얽매였던 율법에서 벗어났으니, 이러므로 우리가 영의 새로운 것으로 섬길 것이요 율법 조문의 묵은 것으로 아니할지니라.	But now we are delivered from the law wherein we were held, being dead to the law, that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
조롬 7:7	그런즉 우리가 무슨 말을 하리요. 율법이 죄냐? 그럴 수 없느니라. 율법으로 말미암지 않고는 내가 죄를 알지 못하였으니 곧 율법이 탐내지 말라 하지 아니하였더라면 내가 탐심을 알지 못하였으리라.	What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law; for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
조롬 7:8	그러나 죄가 계명으로 말미암아 기회를 잡아 내 속에서 온갖 탐심을 이루었도다. 이는 율법이 없으면 죄는 죽은 것임이니라.	But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
조롬 7:9	이는 전에는 범법이 없이 내가 살았으나, 그리스도의 계명이 이르매 죄가 살아나고 나는 죽었도다.	For once I was alive without transgression of the law, but when the commandment of Christ came, sin revived, and I died.
조롬 7:10	또 생명에 이르게 하도록 제정된 그리스도의 계명이 이르렀는데 이를 내가 믿지 아니할 때 나는 그것이 나를 사망에 이르도록 정죄함을 아는도다.	And when I believed not the commandment of Christ which came, which was ordained to life, I found it condemned me unto death.
조롬 7:11	이는 죄가 기회를 잡아 계명을 부인하고 나를 속이더니, 그에 의해 내가 죽임을 당하였는지라.	For sin, taking occasion, denied the commandment, and deceived me; and by it I was slain.
조롬 7:12	그럼에도 불구하고 나는 율법이 거룩하며 계명도 거룩하고 의로우며 선한 것임을 아는도다.	Nevertheless, I found the law to be holy, and the commandment to be holy, and just, and good.
조롬 7:13	그러면 선한 것이 나에게 사망이 되었느냐? 그럴 수 없느니라. 오히려 죄가 선한 것으로 말미암아 죄로 나타나 나를 죽게 만들려 함이니, 죄가 계명으로 말미암아 심히 죄 되게 하려 함이니라.	Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin by that which is good working death in me; that sin, by the commandment, might become exceeding sinful.
조롬 7:14	무릇 우리는 계명이 영적인 줄 아노라. 하지만 내가 율법 아래 있을 때에는 나는 여전히 육신에 속하여 죄 아래 팔렸음이니라.	For we know that the commandment is spiritual; but when I was under the law, I was yet carnal, sold under sin.
조롬 7:15	그러나 이제 나는 영적이니 이는 내가 행하라 명 받은 바를 행하며 또 허락되지 아니하도록 명 받은 바를 나는 허락하지 아니함이니라.	But now I am spiritual; for that which I am commanded to do, I do; and that which I am commanded not to allow, I allow not.
조롬 7:16	이는 내가 알기에 옳지 않은 것을 나는 행하려 하지 않음이요 죄가 되는 것은 내가 미워함이니라.	For what I know is not right I would not do; for that which is sin, I hate.
조롬 7:17	그러할진대 만일 내가 허락하려 하지 아니하는 것을 행하지 아니하면 나는 율법이 선하다 함에 동의하는 것이니 나는 정죄받지 아니하느니라.	If then I do not that which I would not allow, I consent unto the law, that it is good; and I am not condemned.
조롬 7:18	그러하면 이제 죄를 짓는 것은 더 이상 내가 아니요 도리어 나는 내 안에 거하는 그 죄를 굴복시키려 하는도다.	Now then, it is no more I that do sin; but I seek to subdue that sin which dwelleth in me.
조롬 7:19	무릇 내 속 곧 내 육신에는 선한 것이 거하지 않는 줄을 알며, 무릇 의지는 내게 있으나 선한 것을 행하는 것은 찾아볼 수 없으니 오직 그리스도를 통해서 뿐이라.	For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing; for to will is present with me, but to perform that which is good I find not, only in Christ.
조롬 7:20	무릇 내가 율법 아래 있을 때 행하였을 선은 선하지 않음을 내가 알게 되었나니 그러므로 나는 이를 행하지 아니하노라.	For the good that I would have done when under the law, I find not to be good; therefore, I do it not.
조롬 7:21	그러나 내가 율법 아래에서 행하고자 아니한 악은 내가 선함을 알게 되었나니 이를 나는 행하는도다.	But the evil which I would not do under the law, I find to be good; that, I do.
조롬 7:22	이제 만일 내가 그리스도의 도움을 통하여 율법 아래에서 행하고자 아니한 것을 행하면, 나는 율법 아래 있지 아니하나니, 더이상 내가 잘못 행하기를 구하지 아니하고 도리어 내 안에 거하는 죄를 굴복시키기를 구하노라.	Now if I do that, through the assistance of Christ, I would not do under the law, I am not under the law; and it is no more that I seek to do wrong, but to subdue sin that dwelleth in me.
조롬 7:23	그리하여 율법 아래에서 내가 안 것은 선을 행하고자 할 때 악이 나와 함께 있다는 것이라 이는 내가 속 사람으로는 하나님의 법을 즐거워함이니라.	I find then that under the law, that when I would do good evil was present with me; for I delight in the law of God after the inward man.
조롬 7:24	그리고 이제 나는 다른 율법을 보나니 곧 그리스도의 계명이라, 이는 내 마음 속에 새겨져 있도다.	And now I see another law, even the commandment of Christ, and it is imprinted in my mind.
조롬 7:25	그러나 내 지체는 내 마음의 법과 싸워 내 지체 속에 있는 죄의 법 아래로 나를 사로잡아 오는도다.	Butmy members are warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me unto captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
조롬 7:26	만일 내가 내 안에 있는 죄를 굴복시키지 못하고 육신을 따라 죄의 법을 섬길진대 오 나는 곤고한 사람이로다! 이 사망의 몸에서 누가 나를 건져내랴?	And if I subdue not the sin which is in me, but with the flesh serve the law of sin; O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
조롬 7:27	우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님께 감사하리로다. 그런즉 내 자신이 마음으로 하나님의 법을 섬기노라.	I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord, then, that so with the mind I myself serve the law of God.
