소개 노아의 후손들. 야벳의 후예는 이방인이 되고, 함의 후예중에는 가나안인들이 포함되고, 셈의 후예 중 벨렉의 때에 땅이 나뉨. The generations of Noah are: Japheth, whose descendants are Gentiles; Ham, whose descendants include the Canaanites; and Shem, of whom came Peleg, in whose days the earth was divided.
창 10:1 노아의 아들 셈과 함과 야벳의 족보는 이러하니라 홍수 후에 그들이 아들들을 낳았으니 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
창 10:2 야벳의 아들은 고멜과 마곡과 마대와 야완과 두발과 메섹과 디라스요 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
창 10:3 고멜의 아들은 아스그나스와 리밧과 도갈마요 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
창 10:4 야완의 아들은 엘리사와 달시스와 깃딤과 도다님이라 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
창 10:5 이들로부터 여러 나라 백성으로 나뉘어서 각기 언어와 종족과 나라대로 바닷가의 땅에 머물렀더라 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
창 10:6 함의 아들은 구스와 미스라임과 붓과 가나안이요 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
창 10:7 구스의 아들은 스바와 하윌라와 삽다와 라아마와 삽드가요 라아마의 아들은 스바와 드단이며 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
창 10:8 구스가 또 니므롯을 낳았으니 그는 세상에 첫 용사라 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
창 10:9 그가 여호와 앞에서 용감한 사냥꾼이 되었으므로 속담에 이르기를 아무는 여호와 앞에 니므롯 같이 용감한 사냥꾼이로다 하더라 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
창 10:10 그의 나라는 시날 땅의 바벨과 에렉과 악갓과 갈레에서 시작되었으며 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
창 10:11 그가 그 땅에서 앗수르로 나아가 니느웨와 르호보딜과 갈라와 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
창 10:12 및 니느웨와 갈라 사이의 레센을 건설하였으니 이는 큰 성읍이라 And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.
창 10:13 미스라임은 루딤과 아나밈과 르하빔과 납두힘과 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
창 10:14 바드루심과 가슬루힘과 갑도림을 낳았더라 (가슬루힘에게서 블레셋이 나왔더라) And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
창 10:15 가나안은 장자 시돈과 헷을 낳고 And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
창 10:16 또 여부스 족속과 아모리 족속과 기르가스 족속과 And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
창 10:17 히위 족속과 알가 족속과 신 족속과 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
창 10:18 아르왓 족속과 스말 족속과 하맛 족속을 낳았더니 이 후로 가나안 자손의 족속이 흩어져 나아갔더라 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
창 10:19 가나안의 경계는 시돈에서부터 그랄을 지나 가사까지와 소돔과 고모라와 아드마와 스보임을 지나 라사까지였더라 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
창 10:20 이들은 함의 자손이라 각기 족속과 언어와 지방과 나라대로였더라 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
창 10:21 셈은 에벨 온 자손의 조상이요 야벳의 형이라 그에게도 자녀가 출생하였으니 Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
창 10:22 셈의 아들은 엘람과 앗수르와 아르박삿과 룻과 아람이요 The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
창 10:23 아람의 아들은 우스와 훌과 게델과 마스며 And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
창 10:24 아르박삿은 셀라를 낳고 셀라는 에벨을 낳았으며 And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
창 10:25 에벨은 두 아들을 낳고 하나의 이름을 벨렉이라 하였으니 그 때에 세상이 나뉘었음이요 벨렉의 아우의 이름은 욕단이며 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.
창 10:26 욕단은 알모닷과 셀렙과 하살마웻과 예라와 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
창 10:27 하도람과 우살과 디글라와 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
창 10:28 오발과 아비마엘과 스바와 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
창 10:29 오빌과 하윌라와 요밥을 낳았으니 이들은 다 욕단의 아들이며 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.
창 10:30 그들이 거주하는 곳은 메사에서부터 스발로 가는 길의 동쪽 산이었더라 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.
창 10:31 이들은 셈의 자손이니 그 족속과 언어와 지방과 나라대로였더라 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
창 10:32 이들은 그 백성들의 족보에 따르면 노아 자손의 족속들이요 홍수 후에 이들에게서 그 땅의 백성들이 나뉘었더라 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
