And behold, saith the Lord of the vineyard, I take away many of these young and tender branches, and I will graft them whithersoever I will; and it mattereth not that if it so be that the root of this tree will perish, I may preserve the fruit thereof unto myself; wherefore, I will take these young and tender branches, and I will graft them whithersoever I will. | 5:8.포도원 주인이 이르기를, 내가 이 많은 어리고 부드러운 가지를 내가 원하는 곳에 가져다가 접붙이리라. 이 원 나무의 뿌리가 말라 버릴지라도 나는 상관하지 않으리니, 이는 접붙인 가지에서 열매를 거두겠음이라. 그러므로 내가 이 어리고 부드러운 가지를 내가 원하는 곳에 접붙이려 하매, |

Take thou the branches of the wild olive-tree, and graft them in, in the stead thereof; and these which I have plucked off I will cast into the fire and burn them, that they may not cumber the ground of my vineyard. | 5:9.너는 들 감람나무 가지를 가져다가 잘라 낸 대신 접목하라. 나는 베어 낸 가지를 불에 태워, 포도원에서 거치적 거리지 않게 하리라고 하니라. |

And the Lord of the vineyard caused that it should be digged about, and pruned, and nourished, saying unto his servant: It grieveth me that I should lose this tree; wherefore, that perhaps I might preserve the roots thereof that they perish not, that I might preserve them unto myself, I have done this thing. | 5:11.포도원의 주인이 접목한 나무의 둘레를 파고 나무가지를 잘라내고 거름을 주게 하며 종에게 이르기를, 내가 이 나무를 잃을까 염려하여 그 뿌리를 보존해서 마르지 않게 하려 하는지라 내가 행한 일이 모두 그 뿌리를 보존하려 함이라. |

And these will I place in the nethermost part of my vineyard, whithersoever I will, it mattereth not unto thee; and I do it that I may preserve unto myself the natural branches of the tree; and also, that I may lay up fruit thereof against the season, unto myself; for it grieveth me that I should lose this tree and the fruit thereof. | 5:13.나는 이것들을 포도원 한 쪽 구석에 가져다가 원하는 곳에 심으리니, 이는 네가 상관할 바 아니요, 이렇게 나무의 원 가지를 보존하며 그곳에서 절기절기 대로 열매를 거두려함에 이 나무와 열매를 함께 잃게 됨은 애석한 일이로다 하고, |

And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard looked and beheld the tree in the which the wild olive branches had been grafted; and it had sprung forth and begun to bear fruit. And he said unto the servant: Behold, the branches of the wild tree have taken hold of the moisture of the root thereof, that the root thereof hath brought forth much strength; and because of the much strength of the root thereof the wild branches have brought forth tame fruit. Now, if we had not grafted in these branches, the tree thereof would have perished. And now, behold, I shall lay up much fruit, which the tree thereof hath brought forth; and the fruit thereof I shall lay up against the season, unto mine own self. | 5:18.그가 종에게 이르기를, 보라 들 감람나무의 가지가 뿌리에서 수분을 빨아 올린지라 뿌리가 실하게 되었고, 뿌리가 실하게 된지라 들 감람나무 가지에 원 가지에 맺는 열매가 맺혔으니 우리가 나무 가지를 접붙이지 않았더라면 나무는 말라 죽었으리라. 이제 보라 내가 나무에 맺힌 열매를 잔뜩 거둘 것이요, 절기를 따라 열매를 거두리로다 하고, |

And it came to pass that they went forth whither the master had hid the natural branches of the tree, and he said unto the servant: Behold these; and he beheld the first that it had brought forth much fruit; and he beheld also that it was good. But, behold the tree. I have nourished it this long time, and it hath brought forth much fruit; therefore, gather it, and lay it up against the season, that I may preserve it unto mine own self. | 5:23.포도원의 주인이 그의 종에게 이르기를, 이곳을 보라,여기에 다른 나무 가지를 심었나니 내가 알고 있거니와 이 땅은 첫 번 땅보다도 더욱 거친 땅이었으나 이 나무를 보라, 오랜 세월을 두고 가꾸어 기른지라 많은 열매가 맺혔으니, 이를 거두라. 절기가 이르기 전에 열매를 거두어 오직 나를 위해 그 열매를 보관하리라 하고, |

And it came to pass that a long time had passed away, and the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: Come, let us go down into the vineyard, that we may labor again in the vineyard. For behold, the time draweth near, and the end soon cometh; wherefore, I must lay up fruit against the season, unto mine own self. | 5:29.오랜 세월이 지나고 나서 포도원의 주인이 그 종에게 이르기를, 가자 우리 포도원으로 내려가 다시 포도원을 둘러 보자. 보라 때가 가까워 곧 끝이 이르리니 절기가 이르기 전에 내게 열매를 거두어야 하리라 하고, |

And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard and the servant went down into the vineyard; and they came to the tree whose natural branches had been broken off, and the wild branches had been grafted in; and behold all sorts of fruit did cumber the tree. | 5:30.포도원의 주인과 그의 종이 포도원으로 내려 가니라, 저들이 원 가지를 꺾어 내고 들 가지를 접붙힌 나무에 이르러 보니, 온갖 열매가 나무에 매달려 나무를 시달리게 함을 보고, |

And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard did taste of the fruit, every sort according to its number. And the Lord of the vineyard said: Behold, this long time have we nourished this tree, and I have laid up unto myself against the season much fruit. | 5:31.포도원의 주인이 맺힌 수 대로 열매를 각각 맛보고 나서 이르기를, 이 오랜 세월을 두고 이 나무를 가꾸며 절기마다 많은 열매를 거두었으나, |
| 야곱 5:32 | 그러나 보라, 이번에 많은 열매를 맺기는 하였으되, 좋은 것은 하나도 없도다. 또 보라, 있는 것은 온갖 종류의 나쁜 열매이니, 우리의 모든 수고에도 불구하고, 내게 유익함이 없도다. 이제 내가 이 나무를 잃게 됨은 내게 슬픈 일이로다 하니라. |

But behold, this time it hath brought forth much fruit, and there is none of it which is good. And behold, there are all kinds of bad fruit; and it profiteth me nothing, notwithstanding all our labor; and now it grieveth me that I should lose this tree. | 5:32.보라 이번에도 열매를 많이 맺기는 하였으되 훌륭한 것이 하나도 없으며, 보라 온갖 종류의 나쁜 열매 뿐이로다. 우리가 힘들여 일하였음에도 내게 유익함이 없도다. 이제 이 나무를 잃음에 내가 슬프도다 라고 말하고 나서, |

And the Lord of the vineyard said unto the servant: What shall we do unto the tree, that I may preserve again good fruit thereof unto mine own self? | 5:33.포도원의 주인이 종에게 이르기를, 우리가 이 나무를 어찌해야 다시 내게 좋은 열매를 거두어 들일 수 있겠느냐? |
| 야곱 5:34 | 이에 종이 그 주인에게 이르되, 보소서, 주인께서 들감람나무의 가지들을 접붙이셨으므로 그 가지들이 뿌리에 양분을 공급하여, 뿌리가 살고 죽지 아니하였으니, 그런즉 뿌리가 아직 좋은 것을 주인께서 보시나이다 하니라. |

And the servant said unto his master: Behold, because thou didst graft in the branches of the wild olive-tree they have nourished the roots, that they are alive and they have not perished; wherefore thou beholdest that they are yet good. | 5:34.종이 주인에게 답하기를, 보소서 당신께서 들 감람나무 가지를 접붙이신지라 가지가 뿌리를 실하게 만들어 나무가 살아나 말라 죽지 아니 하였으니, 이것만으로도 당신께서 보시기에 좋으실 줄 아나이다 하니, |

And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: The tree profiteth me nothing, and the roots thereof profit me nothing so long as it shall bring forth evil fruit. | 5:35.포도원의 주인이 그의 종에게 이르기를, 못된 열매를 맺는 한 나무가 내게 유익할 것이 없고 그 뿌리도 내게 유익함이 없도다. |

Nevertheless, I know that the roots are good, and for mine own purpose I have preserved them; and because of their much strength they have hitherto brought forth, from the wild branches, good fruit. | 5:36.나는 그 뿌리가 좋은 것으로 알아 내 뜻을 이룰 목적으로 이를 보호하여 보존하였고, 그 뿌리에 힘이 많았던지라 들 나무가지에서도 훌륭한 열매를 맺었었으나, |
| 야곱 5:37 | 그러나 보라, 들가지들이 자라 그 뿌리를 앞질렀고, 들가지들이 그 뿌리를 이겼음으로 인하여 나무가 못된 열매를 많이 맺었으며, 못된 열매를 이처럼 많이 맺었음으로 인하여 나무가 죽기 시작하는 것을 네가 보나니, 우리가 나무를 보전하고자 이를 위해 무엇인가 하지 아니할진대, 곧 시들어 불에 던져지게 되리라 하니라. |

But behold, the wild branches have grown and have overrun the roots thereof; and because that the wild branches have overcome the roots thereof it hath brought forth much evil fruit; and because that it hath brought forth so much evil fruit thou beholdest that it beginneth to perish; and it will soon become ripened, that it may be cast into the fire, except we should do something for it to preserve it. | 5:37.보라 들나무 가지가 자라나 뿌리를 이겨내는지라, 가지가 뿌리의 기운을 억눌러 못된 열매를 맺었으니 네가 보다시피 못된 열매를 맺음으로 하여 나무가 시들기 시작하였느니라. 이제 이 나무를 달리 가꾸어 보존하지 못할진대 곧 시들어 죽을 것이요, 불속에 던져지리라 하며, |

And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: Let us go down into the nethermost parts of the vineyard, and behold if the natural branches have also brought forth evil fruit. | 5:38.다시 포도원의 주인이 그의 종에게 이르기를, 우리 함께 포도원 모퉁이로 가서 원 나무가지에도 못된 열매가 맺혔는가 살펴 보자 하고, |
| 야곱 5:39 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 그들이 포도원의 가장 낮은 곳으로 내려가니라. 그리고 이렇게 되었나니 그들이 본즉 원가지의 열매도 역시 못 쓰게 되었으니, 곧 첫째와 둘째와 나중 된 것까지라. 이들이 모두 못 쓰게 되었더라. |

And it came to pass that they went down into the nethermost parts of the vineyard. And it came to pass that they beheld that the fruit of the natural branches had become corrupt also; yea, the first and the second and also the last; and they had all become corrupt. | 5:39.저들이 포도원 모퉁이로 내려 가니라. 저들이 원 나무 가지를 살펴 보니 역시 못된 열매를 맺었더라. 첫째나무, 둘째나무 그리고 마지막 나무에까지 모두 하나같이 못된 열매를 맺었고, |
| 야곱 5:40 | 또 나중 된 것의 들열매는 그 나무의 좋은 열매 맺던 부분을 이겨, 그 가지가 말라 죽어 버렸더라. |

And the wild fruit of the last had overcome that part of the tree which brought forth good fruit, even that the branch had withered away and died. | 5:40.마지막 나무의 못된 열매는 좋은 열매를 맺던 나무 가지를 이겨내어, 그 가지가 모두 시들어 죽어 버렸더라. |
| 야곱 5:41 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 포도원의 주가 울며 종에게 말하되, 나의 포도원을 위하여 내가 무엇을 더 할 수 있었겠는가? |

And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard wept, and said unto the servant: What could I have done more for my vineyard? | 5:41.이에 포도원의 주인이 울면서 그 종에게 이르기를, 이제 내가 나의 포도원에 무슨 일을 더 할 수 있겠느냐? |
| 야곱 5:42 | 보라, 이것들 외에는 포도원의 모든 열매가 못 쓰게 된 줄 내가 알았었고, 이제는 한때 좋은 열매를 맺었던 이것들도 못 쓰게 되었으니, 이제 내 포도원의 모든 나무가 다만 찍혀 불에 던져지는 것 외에는 아무 쓸모가 없도다. |

Behold, I knew that all the fruit of the vineyard, save it were these, had become corrupted. And now these which have once brought forth good fruit have also become corrupted; and now all the trees of my vineyard are good for nothing save it be to be hewn down and cast into the fire. | 5:42.보라, 이 몇가지 외에는 포도원의 모든 열매가 나쁘게 되었음을 알았고 이제는 한 때 훌륭한 열매를 맺던 몇 나무 가지마저 못 쓰게 되었으니, 나의 포도원의 모든 나무가 쓸모 없이 되어 모두 찍혀 불에 던져지게 되었도다. |
| 야곱 5:43 | 또 이 나중 된 것을 보라, 그 가지가 시들어 버렸도다. 내가 땅의 좋은 곳, 참으로 내게 있어 내 포도원 땅의 다른 모든 곳보다 뛰어난 곳에 심었었노라. |

And behold this last, whose branch hath withered away, I did plant in a good spot of ground; yea, even that which was choice unto me above all other parts of the land of my vineyard. | 5:43.이 마지막 나무를 보라, 내가 비옥한 땅을 골라 심었으나 그 가지가 시들어 버렸도다. 내가이 나무를 포도원 중에서 으뜸 가는 곳에 심었느니라. |
| 야곱 5:44 | 또 네가 보았거니와 이 나무를 대신 심고자, 내가 또 이 곳의 땅을 버리고 있던 것들을 베어 버렸으며, |

And thou beheldest that I also cut down that which cumbered this spot of ground, that I might plant this tree in the stead thereof. | 5:44.또한 네가 보다시피 이 나무를 심으려고 이 자리에 거치장스럽던 나무를 베어 버렸고, |
| 야곱 5:45 | 또 네가 보았거니와 그 한 부분은 좋은 열매를 맺었고, 또 한 부분은 들열매를 맺었었더니, 내가 그 가지들을 꺾어 불에 던지지 아니한 까닭에, 보라 이들이 좋은 가지를 이겨 좋은 가지가 시들어 버렸도다. |

And thou beheldest that a part thereof brought forth good fruit, and a part thereof brought forth wild fruit; and because I plucked not the branches thereof and cast them into the fire, behold, they have overcome the good branch that it hath withered away. | 5:45.네가 보았던 대로, 이 나무 한쪽에 좋은 열매가 맺히고 다른 쪽에 못된 열매가 맺혔었을 때 그 못된 열매가 맺힌 나무 가지를 잘라 불에 던져 버리지 아니한 까닭에, 보라 저들이 좋은 가지를 억눌러 시들게 하였으니, |
| 야곱 5:46 | 또 이제 보라, 나의 포도원에 대한 우리의 모든 보살핌에도 불구하고, 그 나무들이 못 쓰게 되어, 좋은 열매를 맺지 아니하거니와, 이들을 나는 보전하여 나 스스로를 위하여, 절기에 대비하여 그 열매를 쌓아 두기를 소망하였노라. 그러나 보라, 이들이 들감람나무처럼 되어 버렸으니, 이들이 찍혀 불에 던져지는 것 외에는 아무 가치가 없도다. 이에 내가 이들을 잃게 됨은 내게 슬픈 일이라. |

And now, behold, notwithstanding all the care which we have taken of my vineyard, the trees thereof have become corrupted, that they bring forth no good fruit; and these I had hoped to preserve, to have laid up fruit thereof against the season, unto mine own self. But, behold, they have become like unto the wild olive-tree, and they are of no worth but to be hewn down and cast into the fire; and it grieveth me that I should lose them. | 5:46.이제 보라, 우리가 나의 포도원에 온갖 정성을 다 기울였음에도 나무가 못 쓰게 되어 좋은 열매를 맺지 아니하고, 내가 철을 따라 나를 위하여 열매를 거두겠다는 소망을 지녀 보존하여 왔으나, 보라 저들이 모두 들 감람나무가 되어 버렸으니, 아무 쓸모 없이 다만 찍혀 불에 던져지게 되었도다. 이제 저 나무들을 잃음이 나를 비통하게 하는도다. |

But what could I have done more in my vineyard? Have I slackened mine hand, that I have not nourished it? Nay, I have nourished it, and I have digged about it, and I have pruned it, and I have dunged it; and I have stretched forth mine hand almost all the day long, and the end draweth nigh. And it grieveth me that I should hew down all the trees of my vineyard, and cast them into the fire that they should be burned. Who is it that has corrupted my vineyard? | 5:47.그러나 이제 내 과수원을 위해 무엇을 더 할 수 있으랴? 내가 일손을 게을리하여 나무를 가꾸지 아니하였더냐? 아니라 내가 거름주어 가꾸며 둘레를 파 헤쳐 북돋아 주며 가지를 쳐 주며 비료를 치며 종일토록 일손을 뻗쳐 살펴 왔으나, 이제 끝이 가까웠도다. 이제 내 포도원의 모든 나무를 찍어 불에 던져야 하매 애석하도다. 나의 포도원을 망쳐 놓은 자가 누구냐? |
| 야곱 5:48 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 종이 그 주인에게 이르되, 그것은 주인의 포도원이 웃자라 있음이 아니니이까 - 그 가지들이 좋은 뿌리를 이기지 아니하였나이까? 또 가지들이 그 뿌리를 이겼으므로, 보소서, 그것들이 뿌리의 힘보다 더 빨리 자라 힘을 빼앗았으니, 보소서, 내가 여짜옵거니와 이것이 주인의 포도원 나무들이 못쓰게 된 까닭이 아니니이까 하니라. |

And it came to pass that the servant said unto his master: Is it not the loftiness of thy vineyard-have not the branches thereof overcome the roots which are good? And because the branches have overcome the roots thereof, behold they grew faster than the strength of the roots, taking strength unto themselves. Behold, I say, is not this the cause that the trees of thy vineyard have become corrupted? | 5:48.이 그 종이 저의 주인에게 이르기를, 당신의 포도원이 높이 치솟아 있어, 나무 가지들이 좋은 뿌리를 억누른 까닭이 아니오니까? 가지가 뿌리를 억누름에 보소서 가지가 뿌리에서 힘을 빼앗으며, 뿌리가 지탱할 수 있는 능력보다 더 빨리 자라났으니, 보소서 이것이 당신의 포도원을 망치게 한 까닭이 아니오니까? 하니, |

And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto the servant: Let us go to and hew down the trees of the vineyard and cast them into the fire, that they shall not cumber the ground of my vineyard, for I have done all. What could I have done more for my vineyard? | 5:49.포도원의 주인이 종에게이르기를, 자 함께 가서 포도원의 나무를 베어 불에 던져 저 나무들이 포도원의 땅을 차지하여 거치적 거리지 않게 하자. 내가 할 바를 다 하였음이라. 나의 포도원을 위하여 내가 다시 무엇을 더하랴? 하매, |
| 야곱 5:50 | 그러나 보라, 종이 포도원의 주께 이르되, 이를 조금 더 두고 보소서 하는지라. |

But, behold, the servant said unto the Lord of the vineyard: Spare it a little longer. | 5:50.보라 종이 포도원의 주인에게 고하기를, 잠시 더 두어 보소서 하는지라. |
| 야곱 5:51 | 이에 주가 이르되, 그러하리라 내가 내 포도원의 나무를 잃게 됨은 내게 슬픈 일인즉, 내가 이를 조금 더 두고 보리라. |

And the Lord said: Yea, I will spare it a little longer, for it grieveth me that I should lose the trees of my vineyard. | 5:51.주인이 이르기를, 내 포도원의 나무를 잃음은 애석한 일인지라 잠시 더 두고 보리라. |
| 야곱 5:52 | 그런즉 나의 포도원 가장 낮은 곳에 내가 심은 이것들의 가지를 우리가 취하자. 그리고 이들을 그 원래의 나무에 접붙이자. 그리고 그 열매가 가장 쓴 가지들을 그 나무에서 떼어 내고, 그 대신에 그 나무의 원가지들을 접목하자. |

Wherefore, let us take of the branches of these which I have planted in the nethermost parts of my vineyard, and let us graft them into the tree from whence they came; and let us pluck from the tree those branches whose fruit is most bitter, and graft in the natural branches of the tree in the stead thereof. | 5:52.그러니 내 포도원 한 쪽에 심은 나무들의 가지를 잘라 원래 그 가지가 자라난 나무에 접붙이어, 쓴 열매를 맺은 나무 가지를 끊어 내고 그 대신 원 나무 가지들을 그 곳에 접목하기로 하자. |
| 야곱 5:53 | 또 내가 이렇게 행할 것은 그 나무가 죽지 않게 하여, 혹 나 스스로의 목적을 위하여 그 뿌리를 나를 위하여 보전할까 함이라. |

And this will I do that the tree may not perish, that, perhaps, I may preserve unto myself the roots thereof for mine own purpose. | 5:53.내가 이렇게 함은 저 나무가 시들어 죽지 않게 하고, 내가 뜻하는 바를 위하여 그 뿌리를 보존하려 함이라. |
| 야곱 5:54 | 또 보라, 내가 어디든지 내가 원하는 곳에 심어 둔 나무의 원가지들의 뿌리가 아직 살아 있나니, 그런즉 내가 나 스스로의 목적을 위하여 그것 역시 보전하고자, 이 나무의 가지들을 취하여 그것에 접붙이리라. 참으로 나는 그 어미 나무의 가지들을 그것에 접붙이리니, 이는 나 스스로를 위하여 뿌리 역시 보전하여, 뿌리가 충분히 강하게 되면 나를 위하여 좋은 열매를 맺어, 내가 내 포도원의 열매로 말미암아 여전히 영광을 누리려 함이니라. |

And, behold, the roots of the natural branches of the tree which I planted whithersoever I would are yet alive; wherefore, that I may preserve them also for mine own purpose, I will take of the branches of this tree, and I will graft them in unto them. Yea, I will graft in unto them the branches of their mother tree, that I may preserve the roots also unto mine own self, that when they shall be sufficiently strong perhaps they may bring forth good fruit unto me, and I may yet have glory in the fruit of my vineyard. | 5:54.보라 내가 내 좋을 대로 심어둔 원 가지의 나무들의 뿌리가 아직도 살아 있는지라, 내가 뜻하는 바를 위하여 그 나무들 또한 보존하도록 하리니, 내가 이 나무의 가지를 잘라 그 나무들에 접붙이리라. 참으로 그 어미 나무의 가지를 그 나무들에 접붙이는 것임에, 나를 위해 뿌리도 보존하며 나무들이 차차 실하게 되면 내가 좋은 열매도 거두게 되리니, 내 포도원의 열매로 인하여 기쁨을 누릴 수 있으리로다 하며, |
| 야곱 5:55 | 이에 이렇게 되었나니 그들이 들나무같이 된 원나무에서 취하여, 역시 들나무같이 된 원나무들에 접붙였느니라. |

And it came to pass that they took from the natural tree which had become wild, and grafted in unto the natural trees, which also had become wild. | 5:55.저들은 들 나무같이 된 원 나무에서 가지를 취하여 역시 들 나무처럼 된 원가지의 나무들에 접붙이며, |
| 야곱 5:56 | 그리고 그들이 또한 들나무같이 된 원나무들에서 취하여, 그 어미 나무에 접붙이니라. |

And they also took of the natural trees which had become wild, and grafted into their mother tree. | 5:56.또한 들나무같이 된 원 가지의 나무들에서 가지를 잘라 그 어미 나무에 접붙이고 나서, |
| 야곱 5:57 | 그리고는 포도원의 주가 종에게 이르되, 가장 쓴 것이 아니거든 나무들에게서 들가지들을 떼어내지 말고, 그것들에 너희는 내가 이른 대로 접을 붙일지니라. |

And the Lord of the vineyard said unto the servant: Pluck not the wild branches from the trees, save it be those which are most bitter; and in them ye shall graft according to that which I have said. | 5:57.포도원의 주인이 종에게 이르기를 그 열매가 심히 쓰지 않거든 원 가지의 나무들에서 들 나무 가지를 잘라내지 말고 내가 네게 이른 대로 다시 접붙이고, |
| 야곱 5:58 | 그리고 우리는 포도원의 나무들을 다시 가꿀 것이요, 우리는 그 가지들을 손질할 것이며, 우리는 또 시들어 필히 죽을 가지들을 나무들에게서 떼내어 불에 던질 것이라. |

And we will nourish again the trees of the vineyard, and we will trim up the branches thereof; and we will pluck from the trees those branches which are ripened, that must perish, and cast them into the fire. | 5:58.포도원의 나무를 다시 가꾸어 나무 가지를 손질하고, 시들어 못쓰게 된 가지는 잘라 불에 던져 버리자. |
| 야곱 5:59 | 이에 내가 이렇게 행함은 혹 그들의 뿌리가 그 좋음으로 인하여 힘을 얻게 하려 함이요, 가지들을 바꿈으로 인하여 좋은 것이 못된 것을 이기게 하려 함이라. |

And this I do that, perhaps, the roots thereof may take strength because of their goodness; and because of the change of the branches, that the good may overcome the evil. | 5:59.내가 이렇게 하려 함은 뿌리가 좋은 나무가 혹 힘을 얻어 나무 가지를 바꾸어 접붙인 것으로 하여 그 좋은 가지의 기세로 나쁜 것을 억누르기를 바람이라. |
| 야곱 5:60 | 그리고 내가 원가지들과 그 뿌리를 보전하였고, 또 내가 원가지들을 다시 그 어미 나무에 접붙이고, 그 어미 나무의 뿌리를 보전하여, 혹 내 포도원의 나무들이 또다시 좋은 열매를 맺게 하며, 내가 포도원의 열매로 말미암아 다시 기쁨을 얻으며, 혹 내가 처음 열매의 뿌리와 가지들을 보전하였음을 크게 기뻐하고자 하였은즉 - |

Wherefore, go to, and call servants, that we may labor diligently with our might in the vineyard, that we may prepare the way, that I may bring forth again the natural fruit, which natural fruit is good and the most precious above all other fruit. | 5:61.나아가 종들을 부르라. 우리가 포도원에서 힘을 다해 일하여 내가 원 나무의 열매를 거둘 수 있도록 길을 예비하자. 원 나무의 열매야말로 훌륭하며, 다른 어느 열매보다 극히 진귀한 것이니라. |

Graft in the branches; begin at the last that they may be first, and that the first may be last, and dig about the trees, both old and young, the first and the last; and the last and the first, that all may be nourished once again for the last time. | 5:63.나무 가지를 접붙이라. 마지막 나무부터 시작하여, 마지막 것이 처음이 되게하고 처음 것이 마지막이 되게 하며 오래된 나무나 어린 나무나 마지막 것이나 처음 나무거나 모두 그 둘레를 파서 마지막으로 한번 더 가꾸자. |

Wherefore, dig about them, and prune them, and dung them once more, for the last time, for the end draweth nigh. And as they begin to grow ye shall clear away the branches which bring forth bitter fruit, according to the strength of the good and the size thereof; and ye shall not clear away the bad thereof all at once, lest the roots thereof should be too strong for the graft, and the graft thereof shall perish, and I lose the trees of my vineyard. | 5:65.열매가 자랄 때에 그 좋은 열매의 기력과 크기를 보아, 못된 열매를 맺는 가지를 치되, 나쁜 가지라 하여 한번에 전부 자르지는 말라. 뿌리의 기력이 접붙여진 가지보다 훨씬 성하면 나무가 말라 죽으리니, 내 포도원의 나무를 잃을까 염려함이라. |

And the bad shall be cast away, yea, even out of all the land of my vineyard; for behold, only this once will I prune my vineyard. | 5:69.나쁜 나무는 모두 내 포도원의 땅 밖으로 던져지리니, 보라, 오직 이번 한번만 내가 나의 포도원을 손질하리로다 하며, |

And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard sent his servant; and the servant went and did as the Lord had commanded him, and brought other servants; and they were few. | 5:70.포도원의 주인이 종을 보내니 종이 나아가 그의 주인이 명한 대로 행하여 다른 종들을 데려 왔으나 그 수가 얼마되지 아니하더라. |
| 야곱 5:71 | 이에 포도원의 주가 그들에게 이르되, 가서 너희 힘을 다하여, 포도원에서 일하라. 이는 보라, 이번이 나의 포도원을 가꾸는 마지막임이니, 이는 끝이 가까웠고, 절기가 속히 이름이라. 또 만일 너희가 나와 함께 너희 힘을 다하여 일하면 곧 이를 때를 대비하여 내가 나를 위하여 쌓아둘 열매로 말미암아 너희가 기쁨을 누리리라. |

And the Lord of the vineyard said unto them: Go to, and labor in the vineyard, with your might. For behold, this is the last time that I shall nourish my vineyard; for the end is nigh at hand, and the season speedily cometh; and if ye labor with your might with me ye shall have joy in the fruit which I shall lay up unto myself against the time which will soon come. | 5:71.포도원의 주인이 저들에게 이르기를, 나아가 너희 힘을 다하여 포도원에서 일하라. 보라 이번이 나의 포도원을 가꾸는 마지막 때라. 이는 끝이 가까웠음이요, 절기가 속히 이름이라. 너희가 너희 힘을 다하여 나와 더불어 일할진대 곧 이를 절기에 내가 거두어 들일 열매로 하여 너희가 기쁨을 누리리로다 하매, |

And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things. | 5:72.종들이 나아가 힘을 다해 일하였고, 포도원의 주인도 저들과 더불어 일하였으며, 종들이 매사를 행함에 포도원 주인의 명에 복종하였던지라, |
| 야곱 5:73 | 이에 포도원에 다시 원열매가 있게 되었고, 원가지들은 심히 무성하게 자라기 시작하였으며, 들가지들은 뽑혀 버려지기 시작하였고, 그들은 그 뿌리와 줄기 끝을 그 힘에 따라, 동등하게 유지하였더라. |

And there began to be the natural fruit again in the vineyard; and the natural branches began to grow and thrive exceedingly; and the wild branches began to be plucked off and to be cast away; and they did keep the root and the top thereof equal, according to the strength thereof. | 5:73.포도원에 다시 원래의 열매가 맺히기 시작하였고, 원 가지가 자라나 심히 무성한지라, 들나무 가지는 베어 던져 졌으며, 뿌리와 가지가 힘의 균형을 이루게 하였고, |
| 야곱 5:74 | 이에 이같이 그들이 포도원의 주의 명령대로, 부지런함을 다하여 일하되, 곧 나쁜 것이 포도원 밖으로 버려지기까지 그리하였고, 주가 자기를 위하여 보전하매 나무들이 다시 원열매가 되고, 이들이 한 몸 같이 되며, 그 열매가 고르니, 포도원의 주가 처음부터 그에게 가장 귀하던 원열매를 자기를 위하여 보전하였느니라. |

And thus they labored, with all diligence, according to the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard, even until the bad had been cast away out of the vineyard, and the Lord had preserved unto himself that the trees had become again the natural fruit; and they became like unto one body; and the fruits were equal; and the Lord of the vineyard had preserved unto himself the natural fruit, which was most precious unto him from the beginning. | 5:74.저들이 포도원 주인의 명을 받들어 그토록 부지런히 일하여 종내는 나쁜 가지를 포도원 밖으로 다 던져 버리게 되었고, 주인은 다시 원래의 열매를 맺는 나무를 보존하게 되니, 나무는 모두 한 몸이 되고 그 열매가 고른지라, 포도원의 주인은 원래부터 진귀하던 열매를 다시 자기 앞에 거두니라. |
| 야곱 5:75 | 또 이렇게 되었나니 포도원의 주가 그의 열매가 좋고, 그의 포도원이 더 이상 못 쓰게 되지 않는 것을 보고, 그의 종들을 부르고 그들에게 이르되, 보라, 이번에 마지막으로 우리가 나의 포도원을 가꾸었으되, 네가 보거니와 내가 내 뜻대로 행하였노니, 내가 원열매를 보전하매, 그것이 처음에 그러하였던 것같이 좋도다. 또 네게 복이 있나니, 이는 너희가 나의 포도원에서 나와 함께 부지런히 일하며, 나의 명령을 지키고, 원열매를 다시 내게로 가져와, 나의 포도원이 더 이상 못 쓰게 되지 않고, 나쁜 것은 버리웠으므로, 보라 내 포도원의 열매로 인하여 너희가 나와 더불어 기쁨을 누릴 것임이니라. |

And it came to pass that when the Lord of the vineyard saw that his fruit was good, and that his vineyard was no more corrupt, he called up his servants, and said unto them: Behold, for this last time have we nourished my vineyard; and thou beholdest that I have done according to my will; and I have preserved the natural fruit, that it is good, even like as it was in the beginning. And blessed art thou; for because ye have been diligent in laboring with me in my vineyard, and have kept my commandments, and have brought unto me again the natural fruit, that my vineyard is no more corrupted, and the bad is cast away, behold ye shall have joy with me because of the fruit of my vineyard. | 5:75.이에 포도원의 주인은 열매가 좋아지고 포도원이 다시 못 쓰게 되지 않는 것을 보고 그의 종들을 불러 저들에게 이르기를, 보라 우리가 이번에 마지막으로 나의 포도원을 가꾸어 너희가 보는 바와 같이 내가 내 뜻으로 행하였으매 처음 것과 같은 훌륭한 본래의 열매를 보존하게 되었느니라. 또한 너희가 나의 포도원에서 부지런히 내 명을 받들어 일하여 다시 내게로 좋은 열매를 거두어 들였으니 너희가 복되리로다. 나의 포도원이 다시는 못쓰게 되지 아니할 것이요, 나쁜 가지는 던져지리니, 보라 내 포도원의 열매로 인하여 너희가 나와 더불어 기쁨을 나누리로다. |
| 야곱 5:76 | 이는 보라, 속히 이르는 절기에 대비하여, 내가 오랫동안 나 스스로를 위하여 내 포도원의 열매를 쌓아둘 것임이라. 또 마지막으로 내가 내 포도원을 가꾸고, 그 가지를 치고, 그 둘레를 파고, 거기에 거름을 주었으니, 그런즉 나는 내가 말한 바대로, 오랫동안 열매를 나를 위하여 쌓아두리라. |

For behold, for a long time will I lay up of the fruit of my vineyard unto mine own self against the season, which speedily cometh; and for the last time have I nourished my vineyard, and pruned it, and dug about it, and dunged it; wherefore I will lay up unto mine own self of the fruit, for a long time, according to that which I have spoken. | 5:76.보라 속히 다가올 절기에 대비하여 나를 위하여 오랫동안 열매를 거두리니, 이는 내가 마지막으로 나의 포도원을 가꾸고 가지를 치며 둘레를 파 헤쳐 주며 거름을 주었음이라. 그러므로 이미 내가 이른 대로 나를 위하여 오래도록 열매를 거두어 저장해 두리라. |
| 야곱 5:77 | 못된 열매가 나의 포도원에 다시 들어올 때가 이르면, 그때 내가 좋은 것과 나쁜 것을 모으게 하고, 좋은 것은 내가 나를 위하여 보전하고, 나쁜 것은 내가 제자리에 던져 버리리라. 그러고 나면 절기와 끝이 오나니, 내가 나의 포도원을 불에 살라지게 하리라 하니라. |

And when the time cometh that evil fruit shall again come into my vineyard, then will I cause the good and the bad to be gathered; and the good will I preserve unto myself, and the bad will I cast away into its own place. And then cometh the season and the end; and my vineyard will I cause to be burned with fire. | 5:77.못된 열매가 내 포도원에 다시 생길 때가 있으리니, 그때는 좋은 열매와 못된 열매를 함께 거두어 좋은 열매는 내가 보존하며, 못된 열매는 제자리로 던져 버리리라. 절기가 지나 끝이 올 것이매 내가 나의 포도원을 불질러 태워버리리라 하니라. |
