| 니후 23:2 | 너희는 높은 산 위에 기를 올리고, 그들에게 소리를 높이며 손을 흔들어 그들로 존귀한 자들의 문에 들어가게 하라. | Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles. |
| 니후 23:3 | 내가 나의 거룩하게 된 자들에게 명하였고 내가 또한 나의 용사들을 불렀나니, 이는 나의 노여움은 나의 높음을 기뻐하는 자들 위에 있지 아니함이니라. | I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones, for mine anger is not upon them that rejoice in my highness. |

| 니후 23:5 | 그들이 먼 나라에서 하늘 저 끝에서 옴이여, 참으로 주와 그의 진노의 병기라, 온 땅을 멸하려 함이로다. | They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, yea, the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. |
| 니후 23:6 | 너희는 슬피 부르짖을지어다. 주의 날이 가까웠으니 전능자에게서 멸망같이 임할 것임이로다. | Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. |
| 니후 23:7 | 그러므로 모든 손이 약해질 것이요, 각 사람의 마음이 녹을 것이라. | Therefore shall all hands be faint, every man's heart shall melt; |
| 니후 23:8 | 또 그들이 두려워할 것이요, 고통과 슬픔이 그들을 붙잡을 것이며, 그들이 서로 보고 놀랄 것이며, 그들의 얼굴은 불꽃같으리로다. | And they shall be afraid; pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. |
| 니후 23:9 | 볼지어다, 주의 날이 임하나니, 진노와 맹렬한 노여움으로 잔혹하게 되고, 땅을 황폐하게 할 것이며 그는 그 곳의 죄인들을 거기에서 멸하실 것이라. | Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate; and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. |
| 니후 23:10 | 이는 하늘의 별들과 그 성좌들이 그 빛을 내지 아니할 것이요, 해가 그 나아가는 중에 어두워질 것이며, 달이 그 빛을 비치게 아니할 것임이로다. | For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light; the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. |
| 니후 23:11 | 또 내가 악으로 인하여 세상을 벌하며, 악인들을 그들의 죄악으로 인하여 벌할 것이며, 내가 교만한 자의 오만을 그치게 하고 무서운 자의 거만을 낮출 것이라. | And I will punish the world for evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay down the haughtiness of the terrible. |
| 니후 23:12 | 내가 사람을 정금보다 더 귀하게 하되, 참으로 사람을 오빌의 금괴보다 더 귀하게 하리로다. | I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. |
| 니후 23:13 | 그러므로 내가 하늘을 진동시킬 것이요, 만군의 주의 진노 중에와 그가 맹렬히 노하는 날에 땅이 그 자리에서 옮기우리라. | Therefore, I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of Hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. |
| 니후 23:14 | 이는 마치 쫓긴 노루와 같고 아무도 모으지 아니하는 양 같을 것이라. 그들이 각자 자기 동족에게로 돌이키며 각기 자기 본향으로 도망하리라. | And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up; and they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. |
| 니후 23:15 | 교만한 자는 모두 꿰찔릴 것이요, 또한 악인과 연합한 자는 모두 칼에 쓰러지리라. | Every one that is proud shall be thrust through; yea, and every one that is joined to the wicked shall fall by the sword. |
| 니후 23:16 | 그들의 자녀 또한 그들의 눈 앞에서 메어침을 입어 산산조각이 되겠고, 그들의 집은 노략을 당하며, 그들의 아내는 욕을 당하리라. | Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled and their wives ravished. |
| 니후 23:17 | 보라 내가 은과 금을 돌아보지 아니하며, 그것을 기뻐하지도 아니할 메대 사람을 격노하게 하여 그들을 치게하리라. | Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver and gold, nor shall they delight in it. |
| 니후 23:18 | 그들의 활은 또한 청년들을 메어쳐 산산조각이 나게 할 것이며, 그들은 태의 열매를 긍휼히 여기지 아니할 것이며, 그들의 눈은 아이들을 아끼지 아니하리라. | Their bows shall also dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children. |
| 니후 23:19 | 또 열국의 영광이요 갈대아 사람의 빼어난 아름다움인 바벨론은, 하나님이 소돔과 고모라를 엎으신 때와 같이 되리라. | And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. |
| 니후 23:20 | 그 곳에 결코 사는 자가 없을 것이며, 그 곳에 거할 자가 대대로 없을 것이며, 아라비아 사람도 거기 장막을 치지 아니하겠고, 목자들도 그 곳에 그들의 우리를 짓지 아니할 것이로다. | It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. |
| 니후 23:21 | 그러나 사막의 들짐승들이 거기 누울 것이며, 그들의 가옥에는 음울한 피조물이 가득할 것이며, 올빼미들이 거기 거하고, 들염소들이 거기서 뛸 것이니라. | But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there. |
| 니후 23:22 | 또 섬의 들짐승들이 그들의 황폐한 가옥에서 부르짖고, 용들이 그들의 화려한 궁전에서 부르짖을 것이라. 그의 때가 가까우며 그의 날이 연장되지 아니하리니,이는 내가 바벨론을 속히 멸할 것임이니라. 과연 그러하니 이는 내가 내 백성에게는 자비를 베풀 것이나, 악인은 멸망할 것임이니라. | And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces; and her time is near to come, and her day shall not be prolonged. For I will destroy her speedily; yea, for I will be merciful unto my people, but the wicked shall perish. |
