| 니후 28:1 | 그리고 이제, 보라, 나의 형제들아, 영이 나를 강권하시는 대로 내가 말하였나니, 그런즉 나는 그 일들이 정녕 반드시 이루어질 줄을 아노라. | And now, behold, my brethren, I have spoken unto you, according as the Spirit hath constrained me; wherefore, I know that they must surely come to pass. |
| 니후 28:2 | 또 그 책으로부터 기록될 것들은, 사람의 자녀들에게, 그리고 특히 이스라엘 지파의 한 남은 자들인 우리의 자손에게 큰 가치가 있으리라. | And the things which shall be written out of the book shall be of great worth unto the children of men, and especially unto our seed, which is a remnant of the house of Israel. |
| 니후 28:3 | 이는 그 날에 이렇게 될 것임이니, 곧 세워지되 주를 위하여 세워지지 아니한 교회들이 있어, 그때에 하나가 다른 이에게 이르기를, 보라, 나 곧 내가 주의 것이라 할 것이며 다른 이들은 이르기를, 나 곧 내가 주의 것이라 하리니, 교회를 세우되 주를 위하여 세우지 아니한 모든 자들이 이같이 말하리라 - | For it shall come to pass in that day that the churches which are built up, and not unto the Lord, when the one shall say unto the other: Behold, I, I am the Lord's; and the others shall say: I, I am the Lord's; and thus shall every one say that hath built up churches, and not unto the Lord- |
| 니후 28:4 | 또 그들이 서로 다툴 것이며, 그들의 제사가 서로 다툴 것이요, 그들은 그들의 학식으로 가르치며 말씀하게 하시는 성신을 부인할 것이라. | And they shall contend one with another; and their priests shall contend one with another, and they shall teach with their learning, and deny the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance. |
| 니후 28:5 | 또 그들은 이스라엘의 거룩하신 자이신 하나님의 권능을 부인하며 백성들에게 이르기를, 우리에게 귀 기울이고, 우리의 교훈을 너희는 들으라, 이는 보라, 오늘날 하나님은 없는 연고니 이는 주이시요 구속주이신 이가 그의 일을 다하셨고, 그의 권능을 사람들에게 주셨음이라. | And they deny the power of God, the Holy One of Israel; and they say unto the people: Hearken unto us, and hear ye our precept; for behold there is no God today, for the Lord and the Redeemer hath done his work, and he hath given his power unto men; |
| 니후 28:6 | 보라, 너희는 나의 교훈에 귀 기울이라. 설혹 그들이 말하기를 주의 손으로 이루어진 기적이 있다 하더라도 그것을 믿지 말라. 이는 오늘날 그는 기적의 하나님이 아니심이라. 그는 그의 일을 마치셨느니라 하느니라. | Behold, hearken ye unto my precept; if they shall say there is a miracle wrought by the hand of the Lord, believe it not; for this day he is not a God of miracles; he hath done his work. |
| 니후 28:7 | 참으로 많은 자들이 있어 이르기를, 내일 우리가 죽으니 먹고 마시고 즐거워하라. 그래도 우리는 잘 되리라 하리라. | Yea, and there shall be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die; and it shall be well with us. |
| 니후 28:8 | 또한 많은 자들이 있어 이르기를, 먹고 마시고 즐거워하라. 그러할지라도 하나님을 경외하라 - 그는 작은 죄 범하는 것은 의롭다 하시리라. 그러하니 거짓말도 조금하고 어떤 이를 그의 말로 인해 이용하고 네 이웃을 위하여 구덩이를 팔지어다. 이에는 아무 해가 없나니 이 모든 것을 행하라. 이는 내일 우리가 죽음이라. 또 만일 우리에게 죄 있다 하면 하나님은 우리를 매로 몇 번 치실 것이요, 결국 우리는 하나님의 왕국에서 구원받으리라 하리라. | And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God-he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God. |
| 니후 28:9 | 참으로 또한 많은 자들이 있어, 이 같은 방식으로 거짓되고 헛되며 어리석은 교리를 가르치고 그 마음이 부풀어올라, 그들의 꾀를 주에게서 깊이 숨기려 하리니, 그들의 행위는 어둠 속에 있을 것이니라. | Yea, and there shall be many which shall teach after this manner, false and vain and foolish doctrines, and shall be puffed up in their hearts, and shall seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord; and their works shall be in the dark. |
| 니후 28:10 | 이에 성도들의 피가 그들에게 대하여 땅에서부터 부르짖으리라. | And the blood of the saints shall cry from the ground against them. |
| 니후 28:11 | 참으로 그들이 모두 길에서 벗어났음이여, 그들은 부패하여졌도다. | Yea, they have all gone out of the way; they have become corrupted. |
| 니후 28:12 | 교만으로 인하여 또 거짓 교사들과 거짓 교리들로 인하여, 그들의 교회는 부패하여졌고, 그들의 교회가 자고하여졌음이여, 교만으로 인하여 그들이 부풀어 올랐도다. | Because of pride, and because of false teachers, and false doctrine, their churches have become corrupted, and their churches are lifted up; because of pride they are puffed up. |
| 니후 28:13 | 그들은 그들의 훌륭한 성소들로 인하여 가난한 자에게서 탈취하며, 그들은 그들의 훌륭한 의복으로 인하여 가난한 자에게서 탈취하고, 그들은 자기의 교만 중에 부풀어 올랐음으로 인하여 온유하고 마음이 가난한 자들을 핍박하는도다. | They rob the poor because of their fine sanctuaries; they rob the poor because of their fine clothing; and they persecute the meek and the poor in heart, because in their pride they are puffed up. |
| 니후 28:14 | 그들은 뻣뻣한 목과 치켜든 고개를 가졌나니, 또한 교만과 간악함과 가증함과 음행으로 말미암아 그들이 모두 그릇 갔도다. 다만 그리스도를 겸손히 따르는 몇몇이 그렇지 아니하나, 그럼에도 불구하고 그들이 인도되어 많은 경우 실로 잘못을 범하니, 이는 그들이 사람의 교훈으로 가르침을 받는 연고라. | They wear stiff necks and high heads; yea, and because of pride, and wickedness, and abominations, and whoredoms, they have all gone astray save it be a few, who are the humble followers of Christ; nevertheless, they are led, that in many instances they do err because they are taught by the precepts of men. |
| 니후 28:15 | 오 자기 마음의 교만으로 부풀어 오른 현명한 자와 학식 있는 자와 부한 자와 거짓 교리를 전파하는 모든 자와 음행을 범하고 주의 바른 길을 굽게 하는 모든 자여, 그들에게 화, 화, 화가 있을지어다, 전능하신 주 하나님께서 말씀하시느니라. 이는 그들이 지옥으로 밀쳐 내려질 것임이로다! | O the wise, and the learned, and the rich, that are puffed up in the pride of their hearts, and all those who preach false doctrines, and all those who commit whoredoms, and pervert the right way of the Lord, wo, wo, wo be unto them, saith the Lord God Almighty, for they shall be thrust down to hell! |
| 니후 28:16 | 의인을 무익한 것으로 여겨 옆으로 물리치며 선한 것에 대하여 욕하며 말하기를, 그것이 아무 가치가 없다 하는 자들에게 화 있을진저! 이는 주 하나님께서 땅의 주민들을 속히 징벌하실 날이 임할 것이요, 그들이 죄악으로 무르익는 그 날에 그들이 멸망할 것임이니라. | Wo unto them that turn aside the just for a thing of naught and revile against that which is good, and say that it is of no worth! For the day shall come that the Lord God will speedily visit the inhabitants of the earth; and in that day that they are fully ripe in iniquity they shall perish. |
| 니후 28:17 | 그러나 보라, 만일 땅의 주민들이 그들의 간악함과 가증함을 회개할진대 멸망당하지 아니하리라, 만군의 주께서 말씀하시느니라. | But behold, if the inhabitants of the earth shall repent of their wickedness and abominations they shall not be destroyed, saith the Lord of Hosts. |
| 니후 28:18 | 그러나 보라, 온 땅의 창녀인 저 크고 가증한 교회는 반드시 땅에 무너져 내리리니, 그 무너짐이 반드시 크리로다. | But behold, that great and abominable church, the whore of all the earth, must tumble to the earth, and great must be the fall thereof. |
| 니후 28:19 | 이는 악마의 왕국이 반드시 흔들릴 것이며, 거기 속한 자들이 반드시 회개하도록 일깨움을 받을 것임이니, 그렇지 아니하면 악마가 그의 영원한 사슬로 그들을 붙잡을 것이요, 그들은 충동을 받아 노하게 되어 멸망할 것임이라. | For the kingdom of the devil must shake, and they which belong to it must needs be stirred up unto repentance, or the devil will grasp them with his everlasting chains, and they be stirred up to anger, and perish; |
| 니후 28:20 | 이는 보라, 그 날에 그가 사람의 자녀들의 마음 속에 맹위를 떨쳐, 선한 것에 대하여 노하도록 그들을 충동할 것임이라. | For behold, at that day shall he rage in the hearts of the children of men, and stir them up to anger against that which is good. |
| 니후 28:21 | 또 다른 이들은 그가 달래며, 속여 가서 육신에 속한 안전에 거하게 하리니, 이에 그들이 말하기를, 시온에서 모든 것이 잘 되고 있도다, 참으로 시온은 번성하나니 모든 것이 잘 되고 있도다 할 것이라 - 이같이 악마가 그들의 영혼을 속여, 조심스럽게 그들을 인도하여 지옥으로 내려가느니라. | And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well-and thus the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell. |
| 니후 28:22 | 또 보라, 다른 이들은 그가 달콤한 말로 속이며 그들에게 이르기를, 지옥은 없다 하고 그들에게 이르기를, 나는 결코 악마가 아니니 이는 악마란 없는 것임이라 하나니 - 이같이 그가 그들의 귀에 속삭이기를, 그의 끔찍한 사슬로 그들을 움켜쥐기까지 하나니 이에서는 건져냄이 없느니라. | And behold, others he flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none-and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful chains, from whence there is no deliverance. |
| 니후 28:23 | 참으로 그들은 사망과 지옥으로써 붙잡힌 바 되었나니, 사망과 지옥과 악마와 이로써 붙잡힌 바 된 모든 자는, 하나님의 보좌 앞에 서서 그들의 행위에 따라 심판을 받아야 하며, 그 곳에서 그들을 위해 예비된 처소, 곧 끝없는 고통인 불과 유황의 못으로 들어가야 하느니라. | Yea, they are grasped with death, and hell; and death, and hell, and the devil, and all that have been seized therewith must stand before the throne of God, and be judged according to their works, from whence they must go into the place prepared for them, even a lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment. |
| 니후 28:24 | 그러므로 시온에서 안일한 자에게 화 있을진저! | Therefore, wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion! |
| 니후 28:25 | 모든 것이 잘 되고 있다고 외치는 자에게 화 있을진저! | Wo be unto him that crieth: All is well! |
| 니후 28:26 | 참으로 사람의 교훈에 귀 기울이며 하나님의 권능과 성신의 은사를 부인하는 자에게 화 있을진저! | Yea, wo be unto him that hearkeneth unto the precepts of men, and denieth the power of God, and the gift of the Holy Ghost! |
| 니후 28:27 | 참으로 우리는 받았으니 우리는 더 필요하지 않다 말하는 자에게 화 있을진저! | Yea, wo be unto him that saith: We have received, and we need no more! |
| 니후 28:28 | 요컨대 하나님의 진리로 말미암아 떨며, 노하는 모든 자에게 화 있을진저! 이는 보라, 반석 위에 세워진 자는 기쁨으로 이를 받아들이나, 모래의 기초 위에 세워진 자는 그가 쓰러질까 염려하여 떪이니라. | And in fine, wo unto all those who tremble, and are angry because of the truth of God! For behold, he that is built upon the rock receiveth it with gladness; and he that is built upon a sandy foundation trembleth lest he shall fall. |
| 니후 28:29 | 우리는 하나님의 말씀을 받았나니, 우리가 넉넉히 가졌은즉 우리에게는 하나님의 말씀이 더 필요하지 않다고 말할 자에게 화 있을진저! | Wo be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we need no more of the word of God, for we have enough! |
| 니후 28:30 | 이는 보라, 이같이 주 하나님께서 말씀하심이라, 내가 사람의 자녀들에게 말씀에 말씀을 더하고, 교훈에 교훈을 더하여 주되, 여기에서 조금 저기에서 조금 하리라. 내 교훈에 귀 기울이고 내 권고에 귀를 기울이는 자들에게 복이 있나니, 이는 그들이 지혜를 배울 것임이요, 받아들이는 자에게는 내가 더 줄 것이며, 우리는 넉넉히 가졌노라 할 자들, 그들은 그들이 가진 것조차 빼앗기게 될 것임이니라. | For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have. |
| 니후 28:31 | 사람을 신뢰하는 자, 곧 육신으로 자기의 팔을 삼는 자, 곧 성신의 권능으로 주어지는 교훈이 아닌 사람들의 교훈에 귀 기울일 자는 저주를 받는도다. | Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man, or maketh flesh his arm, or shall hearken unto the precepts of men, save their precepts shall be given by the power of the Holy Ghost. |
| 니후 28:32 | 이방인들에게 화 있을진저! 만군의 주 하나님께서 말씀하시느니라. 이는 내가 매일같이 그들에게 내 팔을 펼칠 것임에도 그들이 나를 부인하려 함이라. 그러할지라도 그들이 회개하여 내게로 올진대, 주 하나님께서 말씀하시느니라. 내가 그들을 긍휼히 여기리니, 이는 내 팔이 종일토록 펼쳐져 있음이니라, 만군의 주 하나님께서 말씀하시느니라. | Wo be unto the Gentiles, saith the Lord God of Hosts! For notwithstanding I shall lengthen out mine arm unto them from day to day, they will deny me; nevertheless, I will be merciful unto them, saith the Lord God, if they will repent and come unto me; for mine arm is lengthened out all the day long, saith the Lord God of Hosts. |
