| 니후 26:1 | 또 그리스도께서 죽은 자 가운데서 일어나신 후에 너희 나의 자녀들과 나의 사랑하는 형제들에게 자기를 보이시리니, 그가 너희에게 하실 말씀은 너희가 행할 율법이 되리라. | And after Christ shall have risen from the dead he shall show himself unto you, my children, and my beloved brethren; and the words which he shall speak unto you shall be the law which ye shall do. |
| 니후 26:2 | 이는 보라, 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 많은 세대가 지나갈 것과 내 백성 중에 큰 전쟁과 다툼들이 있을 것을 내가 보았음이니라. | For behold, I say unto you that I have beheld that many generations shall pass away, and there shall be great wars and contentions among my people. |
| 니후 26:3 | 또 메시야가 오신 후에 그의 탄생에 대하여 또한 그의 죽으심과 부활에 대하여 나의 백성들에게 주어질 표적이 있을 것이요, 악인들에게는 그 날이 크고 두려운 날이 되리니, 이는 그들이 멸망할 것임이라. 또 그들이 멸망함은 그들이 선지자들과 성도들을 쫓아 내고, 그들을 돌로 치고 그들을 죽이는 연고니, 그런즉 성도들의 피의 부르짖음이 그들에게 대하여 땅에서부터 하나님께로 올라가리라. | And after the Messiah shall come there shall be signs given unto my people of his birth, and also of his death and resurrection; and great and terrible shall that day be unto the wicked, for they shall perish; and they perish because they cast out the prophets, and the saints, and stone them, and slay them; wherefore the cry of the blood of the saints shall ascend up to God from the ground against them. |
| 니후 26:4 | 그런즉 교만한 자와 악을 행하는 자는 모두 그 이르는 날이 그들을 사르리라, 만군의 주께서 말씀하시느니라. 이는 그들이 그루터기같이 될 것임이니라. | Wherefore, all those who are proud, and that do wickedly, the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of Hosts, for they shall be as stubble. |
| 니후 26:5 | 또 선지자들과 성도들을 죽이는 그들은 땅의 깊은 곳이 그들을 삼켜 버리리라, 만군의 주께서 말씀하시느니라. 또 산들이 그들을 덮을 것이요, 회리바람이 그들을 휩쓸어 가 버릴 것이며, 건물이 그들 위에 무너져 그들을 부수어 산산조각이 나게 하고, 그들을 갈아 가루로 만들 것이라. | And they that kill the prophets, and the saints, the depths of the earth shall swallow them up, saith the Lord of Hosts; and mountains shall cover them, and whirlwinds shall carry them away, and buildings shall fall upon them and crush them to pieces and grind them to powder. |
| 니후 26:6 | 또 그들은 천둥과 번개와 지진과 온갖 형태의 멸망으로 응징을 받으리니, 이는 주의 분노의 불길이 그들에게 대하여 불붙을 것임이요, 그들은 그루터기같이 될 것이며, 그 이르는 날이 그들을 소멸할 것임이니라, 만군의 주께서 말씀하시느니라. | And they shall be visited with thunderings, and lightnings, and earthquakes, and all manner of destructions, for the fire of the anger of the Lord shall be kindled against them, and they shall be as stubble, and the day that cometh shall consume them, saith the Lord of Hosts. |
| 니후 26:7 | 오 나의 백성의 살육당한 자들을 잃음으로 인한 내 영혼의 고통과 괴로움이여, 이는 나 니파이가 그것을 보았음이니, 그것은 주의 면전에서 나를 거의 소멸하는도다. 그러나 나는 내 하나님께 부르짖기를, 주의 길이 의로우시니이다 라고 하지 않을 수 없었느니라. | O the pain, and the anguish of my soul for the loss of the slain of my people! For I, Nephi, have seen it, and it well nigh consumeth me before the presence of the Lord; but I must cry unto my God: Thy ways are just. |
| 니후 26:8 | 그러나 보라, 선지자들의 말에 귀 기울이고, 그들을 멸하지 아니하고, 온갖 핍박에도 불구하고 주어진 표적으로 인하여 굳건함을 지니고, 그리스도를 고대하는 의인들은 - 보라, 그들은 멸망하지 아니할 자들이라. | But behold, the righteous that hearken unto the words of the prophets, and destroy them not, but look forward unto Christ with steadfastness for the signs which are given, notwithstanding all persecution-behold, they are they which shall not perish. |
| 니후 26:9 | 도리어 의의 아들이 그들에게 나타나 그들을 고치시리니, 그들은 그와 화목하여 세 세대가 지나고, 넷째 세대의 많은 자들이 의 가운데 지나가기까지 이르리라. | But the Son of righteousness shall appear unto them; and he shall heal them, and they shall have peace with him, until three generations shall have passed away, and many of the fourth generation shall have passed away in righteousness. |
| 니후 26:10 | 그리고 이러한 일들이 지나고 나면 신속한 멸망이 나의 백성에게 임하나니, 이는 내 영혼의 고통에도 불구하고 내가 그것을 보았음이라. 그런즉 나는 그 일이 이룰 줄을 아노라. 또 그들은 헛된 것을 위하여 스스로를 파나니, 이는 그들이 그 교만과 그 어리석음에 대한 보응으로 멸망을 거둘 것임이요, 악마에게 굴종하여 빛보다는 어둠의 일을 택하므로, 그로 인해 그들이 반드시 지옥으로 내려갈 것임이니라. | And when these things have passed away a speedy destruction cometh unto my people; for, notwithstanding the pains of my soul, I have seen it; wherefore, I know that it shall come to pass; and they sell themselves for naught; for, for the reward of their pride and their foolishness they shall reap destruction; for because they yield unto the devil and choose works of darkness rather than light, therefore they must go down to hell. |
| 니후 26:11 | 이는 주의 영이 항상 사람과 함께 애쓰시지는 아니하실 것임이라. 또 영이 사람과 함께 애쓰시기를 그치시면 그때 신속한 멸망이 이르나니, 이것이 나의 영혼을 비통하게 하는도다. | For the Spirit of the Lord will not always strive with man. And when the Spirit ceaseth to strive with man then cometh speedy destruction, and this grieveth my soul. |
| 니후 26:12 | 그리고 예수가 바로 그리스도이심을 유대인들에게 확신시킴에 관하여 내가 말한 것같이, 이방인들도 예수는 그리스도시요 영원하신 하나님이심을 확신하게 되어야 하며, | And as I spake concerning the convincing of the Jews, that Jesus is the very Christ, it must needs be that the Gentiles be convinced also that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God; |
| 니후 26:13 | 또 그가 성신의 권능으로써 그를 믿는 모든 자들에게 자기를 나타내시되, 참으로 모든 나라와 족속과 방언과 백성에게 그리하사, 사람의 자녀들 가운데 그들의 신앙을 좇아 능한 기적과 표적과 기사를 행하신다는 것을 확신하게 되어야 하느니라. | And that he manifesteth himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the Holy Ghost; yea, unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, working mighty miracles, signs, and wonders, among the children of men according to their faith. |
| 니후 26:14 | 그러나 보라, 내가 너희에게 마지막 날에 관하여 예언하노니, 곧 주 하나님께서 사람의 자녀들에게 이러한 것들을 드러내실 날에 관하여서라. | But behold, I prophesy unto you concerning the last days; concerning the days when the Lord God shall bring these things forth unto the children of men. |
| 니후 26:15 | 내 자손과 내 형제들의 자손들이 믿지 않음에 빠져들고 이방인들에게 매맞고 난 후, 참으로 주 하나님께서 그들에게 대하여 둘러 진 치시고, 그들에게 대하여 산으로 에워싸시고, 그들에게 대하여 요새를 세우신 후, 그리고 그들이 티끌에 낮게 내리워서 참으로 그들이 없어진 후, 그럼에도 의인들의 말은 기록될 것이며 성실한 자의 기도는 들으신 바 될 것이며, 믿지 않음에 빠져든 자 모두는 잊혀지지 아니하니라. | After my seed and the seed of my brethren shall have dwindled in unbelief, and shall have been smitten by the Gentiles; yea, after the Lord God shall have camped against them round about, and shall have laid siege against them with a mount, and raised forts against them; and after they shall have been brought down low in the dust, even that they are not, yet the words of the righteous shall be written, and the prayers of the faithful shall be heard, and all those who have dwindled in unbelief shall not be forgotten. |
| 니후 26:16 | 이는 멸망당할 자들이 땅에서부터 그들에게 말할 것이요, 그들의 말하는 것이 티끌에서 나직이 날 것이며, 그들의 음성이 친밀한 영을 가진 자 같을 것임이라. 이는 주 하나님께서 그에게 능력을 주사 그로 그들에 관하여 속삭이게 하시되, 마치 땅에서 나는 듯하게 하실 것이며, 그들의 말하는 것이 티끌에서 나서 속삭일 것임이니라. | For those who shall be destroyed shall speak unto them out of the ground, and their speech shall be low out of the dust, and their voice shall be as one that hath a familiar spirit; for the Lord God will give unto him power, that he may whisper concerning them, even as it were out of the ground; and their speech shall whisper out of the dust. |
| 니후 26:17 | 이는 이같이 주 하나님께서 이르심이라. 그들은 그들 가운데 이루어질 일들을 기록할 것이요, 그것은 한 권의 책에 기록되어 인봉될 것이로되, 믿지 않음에 빠져 든 자들은 그것을 갖지 못하리니, 이는 그들이 하나님의 것을 멸하기를 꾀함이라. | For thus saith the Lord God: They shall write the things which shall be done among them, and they shall be written and sealed up in a book, and those who have dwindled in unbelief shall not have them, for they seek to destroy the things of God. |
| 니후 26:18 | 그런즉 멸망당한 자들이 속히 멸망당하였고, 그들의 무서운 자들의 무리가 불려 가는 겨같이 될 것처럼 - 참으로 이같이 주 하나님께서 말씀하시느니라, 그 일이 순식간에 갑자기 이루어지리라. | Wherefore, as those who have been destroyed have been destroyed speedily; and the multitude of their terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away-yea, thus saith the Lord God: It shall be at an instant, suddenly- |
| 니후 26:19 | 또 이렇게 되리니 믿지 않음에 빠져 든 자들은 이방인들의 손에 매 맞을 것이니라. | And it shall come to pass, that those who have dwindled in unbelief shall be smitten by the hand of the Gentiles. |
| 니후 26:20 | 또 이방인들은 그 눈의 교만중에 자고하여졌고, 그들의 걸림돌이 큼으로 인하여 거쳐 넘어졌나니, 그로 말미암아 그들이 많은 교회를 세웠도다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그들이 하나님의 권능과 기적을 경멸히 여기고 그들 스스로를 위하여 그들 자신의 지혜와 그들 자신의 학식을 전파하니, 이는 이익을 얻고 가난한 자의 얼굴에 맷돌질 하려 함이라. | And the Gentiles are lifted up in the pride of their eyes, and have stumbled, because of the greatness of their stumbling block, that they have built up many churches; nevertheless, they put down the power and miracles of God, and preach up unto themselves their own wisdom and their own learning, that they may get gain and grind upon the face of the poor. |
| 니후 26:21 | 또 시기와 다툼과 원한을 일으키는 교회가 많이 세워져 있느니라. | And there are many churches built up which cause envyings, and strifes, and malice. |
| 니후 26:22 | 또 참으로 옛적에와 같이 비밀 결사들 또한 있나니 곧 악마의 결사를 따른 것이라. 이는 그가 이 모든 것의 창시자임이니, 참으로 살인과 어둠의 일의 창시자라. 또한 그는 아마 줄로 목을 매어 그들을 이끌기를 그의 강한 줄로 그들을 영원히 결박하기까지 하느니라. | And there are also secret combinations, even as in times of old, according to the combinations of the devil, for he is the founder of all these things; yea, the founder of murder, and works of darkness; yea, and he leadeth them by the neck with a flaxen cord, until he bindeth them with his strong cords forever. |
| 니후 26:23 | 이는 보라, 나의 사랑하는 형제들아, 내가 너희에게 이르노니 주 하나님은 어둠 가운데서 일하시지 아니하심이라. | For behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you that the Lord God worketh not in darkness. |
| 니후 26:24 | 그는 세상의 유익을 위한 것이 아니면 아무것도 행하지 아니하시나니, 이는 그가 세상을 사랑하사 모든 사람을 그에게로 이끄시려 자기 목숨을 버리기까지 하심이라. 그런즉 그는 아무에게도 그의 구원에 참여하지 말라고 명하지 아니하시느니라. | He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation. |
| 니후 26:25 | 보라, 누구에게 그가 소리쳐 이르시기를, 내게서 떠나라 하시느냐? 보라, 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 아니라, 도리어 그는 이르시기를, 너희 모든 땅 끝이여, 내게로 오라, 돈 없이 값 없이 젖과 꿀을 사라 하시느니라. | Behold, doth he cry unto any, saying: Depart from me? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but he saith: Come unto me all ye ends of the earth, buy milk and honey, without money and without price. |
| 니후 26:26 | 보라, 누구에게 그가 명하사 회당에서, 혹 경배의 집에서 떠나라 하셨느냐? 보라, 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 아니라. | Behold, hath he commanded any that they should depart out of the synagogues, or out of the houses of worship? Behold, I say unto you, Nay. |
| 니후 26:27 | 누구에게 그가 명하사 그의 구원에 참여하지 말라 하셨느냐? 보라, 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 아니라. 도리어 그는 모든 사람을 위해 그의 구원을 거저 주셨으며, 그의 백성에게 명하사 모든 사람을 설득하여 회개하게 하라 하셨느니라. | Hath he commanded any that they should not partake of his salvation? Behold I say unto you, Nay; but he hath given it free for all men; and he hath commanded his people that they should persuade all men to repentance. |
| 니후 26:28 | 보라, 누구에게 주께서 명하사 그의 선하심에 참여하지 말라 하셨느냐? 보라, 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 아니라. 도리어 모든 사람이 서로 같은 특권을 가졌나니 아무도 금지 당하지 아니하였느니라. | Behold, hath the Lord commanded any that they should not partake of his goodness? Behold I say unto you, Nay; but all men are privileged the one like unto the other, and none are forbidden. |
| 니후 26:29 | 그가 명하시기를 사제술이 없을 것이라 하시나니, 이는 보라, 사제술이란 사람들이 가르침을 베풀되, 스스로를 세상을 위한 빛으로 세워 이익과 세상의 칭찬을 얻으려 하는 것임이라. 그러나 그들이 시온의 복리를 구하지 아니하느니라. | He commandeth that there shall be no priestcrafts; for, behold, priestcrafts are that men preach and set themselves up for a light unto the world, that they may get gain and praise of the world; but they seek not the welfare of Zion. |
| 니후 26:30 | 보라 주께서는 이 일을 금하셨느니라. 그리하여 주 하나님께서는 계명을 주시어 모든 사람은 자애를 가져야 한다고 하셨으니, 이 자애는 곧 사랑이라. 또 그들에게 자애가 없을진대 그들은 아무것도 아니라. 그런즉 만일 그들에게 자애가 있을진대 그들은 시온에 있는 일꾼이 멸망하도록 버려두지 아니할 것이라. | Behold, the Lord hath forbidden this thing; wherefore, the Lord God hath given a commandment that all men should have charity, which charity is love. And except they should have charity they were nothing. Wherefore, if they should have charity they would not suffer the laborer in Zion to perish. |
| 니후 26:31 | 그러나 시온에 있는 일꾼은 시온을 위하여 일하리니, 이는 만일 그들이 돈을 위해 일하면 멸망할 것임이라. | But the laborer in Zion shall labor for Zion; for if they labor for money they shall perish. |
| 니후 26:32 | 그리고 또 주 하나님께서 명하사 사람들에게 살인하지 말며, 거짓말하지 말며, 도적질하지 말며, 주 그들의 하나님의 이름을 망령되이 일컫지 말며, 시기하지 말며, 원한을 갖지 말며, 서로 다투지 말며, 음행을 범하지 말며, 또 이러한 일들은 아무것도 행하지 말라고 하셨으니, 이는 누구든지 이를 행하는 자는 멸망할 것임이라. | And again, the Lord God hath commanded that men should not murder; that they should not lie; that they should not steal; that they should not take the name of the Lord their God in vain; that they should not envy; that they should not have malice; that they should not contend one with another; that they should not commit whoredoms; and that they should do none of these things; for whoso doeth them shall perish. |
| 니후 26:33 | 이는 이 모든 죄악 중 아무것이라도 주께로부터 오지 아니함이니, 이는 그가 사람의 자녀들 가운데 선을 행하심이라. 또 그는 사람의 자녀들에게 명백한 것이 아니면 아무것도 행하지 아니하시며, 또 그는 그들 모두에게 그에게로 나아와 그의 선하심에 참여하도록 권하시며, 또 그는 그에게로 나아오는 자는 검거나 희거나, 매인 자나 자유로운 자나, 남자나 여자나 아무도 거절하지 아니하시며, 또 그는 이방을 기억하시나니 유대인이나 이방인이나, 모두 다 하나님께는 동일하니라. | For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile. |
