| 니후 33:1 | 또 이제 나 니파이는 나의 백성 가운데서 가르친 바 된 모든 것을 다 기록할 수 없으며, 말하는 것처럼 기록하기에 능하지도 못하나니, 이는 사람이 성신의 권능으로 말할 때에는 성신의 권능이 그것을 사람의 자녀들의 마음에 전함이라. | And now I, Nephi, cannot write all the things which were taught among my people; neither am I mighty in writing, like unto speaking; for when a man speaketh by the power of the Holy Ghost the power of the Holy Ghost carrieth it unto the hearts of the children of men. |
| 니후 33:2 | 그러나 보라, 성령에게 대하여 자기 마음을 완악하게 하여, 그로 자기 안에 있을 곳이 없게 하는 자가 많나니, 그리하여 그들은 기록된 것을 많이 던져 버리며 이를 아무것도 아닌 것으로 여기느니라. | But behold, there are many that harden their hearts against the Holy Spirit, that it hath no place in them; wherefore, they cast many things away which are written and esteem them as things of naught. |
| 니후 33:3 | 그러나 내가 기록한 바를 나 니파이는 기록하였나니, 나는 이를 큰 가치가 있는 것으로 여기며, 특히 나의 백성에게 그러한 것으로 여기노라. 이는 내가 낮으로 그들을 위해 쉬지 않고 기도하며, 밤으로는 그들로 인하여 내 눈물이 내 베개를 적심이라. 또 나는 신앙으로 나의 하나님께 부르짖나니, 나는 그가 내 부르짖음을 들으시리라는 것을 아노라. | But I, Nephi, have written what I have written, and I esteem it as of great worth, and especially unto my people. For I pray continually for them by day, and mine eyes water my pillow by night, because of them; and I cry unto my God in faith, and I know that he will hear my cry. |
| 니후 33:4 | 또 나는 주 하나님께서 내 백성의 이익을 위하여 나의 기도를 성별하실 것을 아노라. 그리고 내가 연약한 가운데 기록한 말들이 그들에게 강하게 되리니, 이는 그것이 선을 행하도록 그들을 설득하고, 그들의 조상에 대하여 그들에게 알려 주며, 예수에 대하여 말하고, 그들을 설득하여, 그를 믿고 끝까지, 곧 영생에 이르기까지 견디게 함이라. | And I know that the Lord God will consecrate my prayers for the gain of my people. And the words which I have written in weakness will be made strong unto them; for it persuadeth them to do good; it maketh known unto them of their fathers; and it speaketh of Jesus, and persuadeth them to believe in him, and to endure to the end, which is life eternal. |
| 니후 33:5 | 또 그것은 진리의 명백함을 좇아 죄를 거스려 엄하게 말하나니, 그런즉 악마의 영에 속한 자가 아닐진대, 아무도 내가 기록한 말씀으로 하여 노하지 아니하리라. | And it speaketh harshly against sin, according to the plainness of the truth; wherefore, no man will be angry at the words which I have written save he shall be of the spirit of the devil. |
| 니후 33:6 | 나는 명백함을 자랑하며, 나는 진리를 자랑하며, 나는 나의 예수를 자랑하노니, 이는 그가 나의 영혼을 지옥에서 구속하셨음이라. | I glory in plainness; I glory in truth; I glory in my Jesus, for he hath redeemed my soul from hell. |
| 니후 33:7 | 나는 내 백성을 사랑하며, 주의 심판대에서 흠 없는 영혼을 많이 만나게 되리라는 큰 신앙을 그리스도 안에 갖고 있노라. | I have charity for my people, and great faith in Christ that I shall meet many souls spotless at his judgment-seat. |
| 니후 33:8 | 나는 유대인을 사랑하노라 - 유대인이라 내가 말하는 것은 내가 떠나온 곳의 그들을 내가 뜻하는 까닭이라. | I have charity for the Jew-I say Jew, because I mean them from whence I came. |
| 니후 33:9 | 나는 또한 이방인을 사랑하노라. 그러나 보라, 이들이 그리스도에게 화합하여 좁은 문으로 들어가서 생명으로 인도하는 협착한 길로 행하며, 시험의 날이 끝나기까지 계속하여 그 길에서 행하지 아니할진대, 이들 중 아무도 내가 바랄 수 없느니라. | I also have charity for the Gentiles. But behold, for none of these can I hope except they shall be reconciled unto Christ, and enter into the narrow gate, and walk in the strait path which leads to life, and continue in the path until the end of the day of probation. |
| 니후 33:10 | 또 이제 나의 사랑하는 형제들아, 그리고 또한 유대인과 너희 모든 땅 끝이여, 이 말에 귀를 기울이고 그리스도를 믿으라. 혹 너희가 이 말을 믿지 않는다 하더라도 그리스도는 믿으라. 너희가 그리스도를 믿을터이면 이 말을 믿으리니, 이는 이 말이 그리스도의 말씀이요, 이를 그가 내게 주셨음이며 이것은 만인에게 그들이 선을 행해야 한다고 가르침이니라. | And now, my beloved brethren, and also Jew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and believe in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall believe in Christ ye will believe in these words, for they are the words of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they teach all men that they should do good. |
| 니후 33:11 | 또 만일 이 말씀이 그리스도의 말씀이 아니라면 너희가 판단하라 - 이는 마지막 날에 그리스도께서 권능과 큰 영광으로, 이것이 그의 말씀임을 너희에게 보이실 것임이요, 너희와 내가 그의 심판대에서 얼굴과 얼굴을 대하고 설 것이며, 나의 연약함에도 불구하고 내가 이러한 것들을 기록하도록 주께로부터 명하심을 받았음을 너희가 알게 될 것임이니라. | And if they are not the words of Christ, judge ye-for Christ will show unto you, with power and great glory, that they are his words, at the last day; and you and I shall stand face to face before his bar; and ye shall know that I have been commanded of him to write these things, notwithstanding my weakness. |
| 니후 33:12 | 또 나는 저 큰 마지막 날에, 비록 모두가 아니라 할지라도, 우리 중 많은 자들이 그의 왕국에서 구원받게 되기를 그리스도의 이름으로 아버지께 기도하노라. | And I pray the Father in the name of Christ that many of us, if not all, may be saved in his kingdom at that great and last day. |
| 니후 33:13 | 그러면 이제 나의 사랑하는 형제들, 이스라엘의 집에 속한 모든 자와 너희 모든 땅 끝이여, 내가 티끌에서부터 외치는 자의 음성으로 너희에게 말하노니, 저 큰 날이 이르기까지 잘 있으라. | And now, my beloved brethren, all those who are of the house of Israel, and all ye ends of the earth, I speak unto you as the voice of one crying from the dust: Farewell until that great day shall come. |
| 니후 33:14 | 또 너희 하나님의 선하심에 참여하지 아니하며, 유대인들의 말과 또한 나의 말과 하나님의 어린 양의 입에서 나아올 말씀을 존중하지 아니할 자들아, 보라, 내가 너희에게 영원한 작별을 고하노니 이는 이 말씀들이 마지막 날에 너희를 정죄할 것임이라. | And you that will not partake of the goodness of God, and respect the words of the Jews, and also my words, and the words which shall proceed forth out of the mouth of the Lamb of God, behold, I bid you an everlasting farewell, for these words shall condemn you at the last day. |
| 니후 33:15 | 이는 내가 땅에서 인봉하는 것이 심판대에서 너희를 거스려 제출될 것임이니라. 이는 이같이 주께서 내게 명하셨음이니 내가 순종해야만 하리라. 아멘. | For what I seal on earth, shall be brought against you at the judgment bar; for thus hath the Lord commanded me, and I must obey. Amen. |
