욥 5:1 너는 부르짖어 보라 네게 응답할 자가 있겠느냐 거룩한 자 중에 네가 누구에게로 향하겠느냐 Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?

 
욥 5:2 분노가 미련한 자를 죽이고 시기가 어리석은 자를 멸하느니라 For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.

 
욥 5:3 내가 미련한 자가 뿌리 내리는 것을 보고 그의 집을 당장에 저주하였노라 I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.

 
욥 5:4 그의 자식들은 구원에서 멀고 성문에서 억눌리나 구하는 자가 없으며 His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.

 
욥 5:5 그가 추수한 것은 주린 자가 먹되 덫에 걸린 것도 빼앗으며 올무가 그의 재산을 향하여 입을 벌리느니라 Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.

 
욥 5:6 재난은 티끌에서 일어나는 것이 아니며 고생은 흙에서 나는 것이 아니니라 Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;

 
욥 5:7 사람은 고생을 위하여 났으니 불꽃이 위로 날아 가는 것 같으니라 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

 
욥 5:8 나라면 하나님을 찾겠고 내 일을 하나님께 의탁하리라 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:

 
욥 5:9 하나님은 헤아릴 수 없이 큰 일을 행하시며 기이한 일을 셀 수 없이 행하시나니 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:

 
욥 5:10 비를 땅에 내리시고 물을 밭에 보내시며 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:

 
욥 5:11 낮은 자를 높이 드시고 애곡하는 자를 일으키사 구원에 이르게 하시느니라 To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.

 
욥 5:12 하나님은 교활한 자의 계교를 꺾으사 그들의 손이 성공하지 못하게 하시며 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.

 
욥 5:13 지혜로운 자가 자기의 계략에 빠지게 하시며 간교한 자의 계략을 무너뜨리시므로 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.

 
욥 5:14 그들은 낮에도 어두움을 만나고 대낮에도 더듬기를 밤과 같이 하느니라 They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night.

 
욥 5:15 하나님은 가난한 자를 강한 자의 칼과 그 입에서, 또한 그들의 손에서 구출하여 주시나니 But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

 
욥 5:16 그러므로 가난한 자가 희망이 있고 악행이 스스로 입을 다무느니라 So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.

 
욥 5:17 볼지어다 하나님께 징계 받는 자에게는 복이 있나니 그런즉 너는 전능자의 징계를 업신여기지 말지니라 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

 
욥 5:18 하나님은 아프게 하시다가 싸매시며 상하게 하시다가 그의 손으로 고치시나니 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.

 
욥 5:19 여섯 가지 환난에서 너를 구원하시며 일곱 가지 환난이라도 그 재앙이 네게 미치지 않게 하시며 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

 
욥 5:20 기근 때에 죽음에서, 전쟁 때에 칼의 위협에서 너를 구원하실 터인즉 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.

 
욥 5:21 네가 혀의 채찍을 피하여 숨을 수가 있고 멸망이 올 때에도 두려워하지 아니할 것이라 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.

 
욥 5:22 너는 멸망과 기근을 비웃으며 들짐승을 두려워하지 말라 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

 
욥 5:23 들에 있는 돌이 너와 언약을 맺겠고 들짐승이 너와 화목하게 살 것이니라 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

 
욥 5:24 네가 네 장막의 평안함을 알고 네 우리를 살펴도 잃은 것이 없을 것이며 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.

 
욥 5:25 네 자손이 많아지며 네 후손이 땅의 풀과 같이 될 줄을 네가 알 것이라 Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.

 
욥 5:26 네가 장수하다가 무덤에 이르리니 마치 곡식단을 제 때에 들어올림 같으니라 Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.

 
욥 5:27 볼지어다 우리가 연구한 바가 이와 같으니 너는 들어 보라 그러면 네가 알리라 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
