소개 악인도 때때로 이 생에서 번성하지만 저 세상에서 심판받게 될것을 간증하는 욥. Job admits that the wicked sometimes prosper in this life—Then he testifies that their judgment shall be hereafter in the day of wrath and destruction.

 
욥 21:1 욥이 대답하여 이르되 But Job answered and said,

 
욥 21:2 너희는 내 말을 자세히 들으라 이것이 너희의 위로가 될 것이니라 Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.

 
욥 21:3 나를 용납하여 말하게 하라 내가 말한 후에 너희가 조롱할지니라 Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.

 
욥 21:4 나의 원망이 사람을 향하여 하는 것이냐 내 마음이 어찌 조급하지 아니하겠느냐 As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?

 
욥 21:5 너희가 나를 보면 놀라리라 손으로 입을 가리리라 Mark me, and be astonished, and lay your hand upon your mouth.

 
욥 21:6 내가 기억하기만 하여도 불안하고 두려움이 내 몸을 잡는구나 Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.

 
욥 21:7 어찌하여 악인이 생존하고 장수하며 세력이 강하냐 Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?

 
욥 21:8 그들의 후손이 앞에서 그들과 함께 굳게 서고 자손이 그들의 목전에서 그러하구나 Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.

 
욥 21:9 그들의 집이 평안하여 두려움이 없고 하나님의 매가 그들 위에 임하지 아니하며 Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.

 
욥 21:10 그들의 수소는 새끼를 배고 그들의 암소는 낙태하는 일이 없이 새끼를 낳는구나 Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.

 
욥 21:11 그들은 아이들을 양 떼 같이 내보내고 그들의 자녀들은 춤추는구나 They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.

 
욥 21:12 그들은 소고와 수금으로 노래하고 피리 불어 즐기며 They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.

 
욥 21:13 그들의 날을 행복하게 지내다가 잠깐 사이에 스올에 내려가느니라 They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.

 
욥 21:14 그러할지라도 그들은 하나님께 말하기를 우리를 떠나소서 우리가 주의 도리 알기를 바라지 아니하나이다 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.

 
욥 21:15 전능자가 누구이기에 우리가 섬기며 우리가 그에게 기도한들 무슨 소용이 있으랴 하는구나 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

 
욥 21:16 그러나 그들의 행복이 그들의 손 안에 있지 아니하니 악인의 계획은 나에게서 멀구나 Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

 
욥 21:17 악인의 등불이 꺼짐과 재앙이 그들에게 닥침과 하나님이 진노하사 그들을 곤고하게 하심이 몇 번인가 How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger.

 
욥 21:18 그들이 바람 앞에 검불 같이, 폭풍에 날려가는 겨 같이 되었도다 They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.

 
욥 21:19 하나님은 그의 죄악을 그의 자손들을 위하여 쌓아 두시며 그에게 갚으실 것을 알게 하시기를 원하노라 God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.

 
욥 21:20 자기의 멸망을 자기의 눈으로 보게 하며 전능자의 진노를 마시게 할 것이니라 His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

 
욥 21:21 그의 달 수가 다하면 자기 집에 대하여 무슨 관계가 있겠느냐 For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?

 
욥 21:22 그러나 하나님께서는 높은 자들을 심판하시나니 누가 능히 하나님께 지식을 가르치겠느냐 Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.

 
욥 21:23 어떤 사람은 죽도록 기운이 충실하여 안전하며 평안하고 One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.

 
욥 21:24 그의 그릇에는 젖이 가득하며 그의 골수는 윤택하고 His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.

 
욥 21:25 어떤 사람은 마음에 고통을 품고 죽으므로 행복을 맛보지 못하는도다 And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.

 
욥 21:26 이 둘이 매 한 가지로 흙 속에 눕고 그들 위에 구더기가 덮이는구나 They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.

 
욥 21:27 내가 너희의 생각을 알고 너희가 나를 해하려는 속셈도 아노라 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.

 
욥 21:28 너희의 말이 귀인의 집이 어디 있으며 악인이 살던 장막이 어디 있느냐 하는구나 For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?

 
욥 21:29 너희가 길 가는 사람들에게 묻지 아니하였느냐 그들의 증거를 알지 못하느냐 Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,

 
욥 21:30 악인은 재난의 날을 위하여 남겨둔 바 되었고 진노의 날을 향하여 끌려가느니라 That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

 
욥 21:31 누가 능히 그의 면전에서 그의 길을 알려 주며 누가 그의 소행을 보응하랴 Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?

 
욥 21:32 그를 무덤으로 메어 가고 사람이 그 무덤을 지키리라 Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.

 
욥 21:33 그는 골짜기의 흙덩이를 달게 여기리니 많은 사람들이 그보다 앞서 갔으며 모든 사람이 그의 뒤에 줄지었느니라 The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.

 
욥 21:34 그런데도 너희는 나를 헛되이 위로하려느냐 너희 대답은 거짓일 뿐이니라 How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?
