| 앨 6:1 | 이에 이제 이렇게 되었나니 앨마가 제이라헤믈라 성에 세워진 교회의 백성들에게 말하기를 마친 후 하나님의 반차를 좇아 그의 손으로 안수 함으로써, 교회를 감리하고 감독할 제사와 장로를 성임하였더라. | AND now it came to pass that after Alma had made an end of speaking unto the people of the church, which was established in the city of Zarahemla, he ordained priests and elders, by laying on his hands according to the order of God, to preside and watch over the church. |
| 앨 6:2 | 또 이렇게 되었나니 교회에 속하지 않았던 자로서 자기의 죄를 회개하는 자는 누구나 회개에 이르는 침례를 받고, 교회에 받아들여졌더라. | And it came to pass that whosoever did not belong to the church who repented of their sins were baptized unto repentance, and were received into the church. |
| 앨 6:3 | 또한 이렇게 되었나니 교회에 속한 자로서 누구든지 그 간악함을 회개하고 하나님 앞에 스스로를 낮추지 아니하는 자들 - 그 마음의 교만 중에 자고하여진 자들을 내가 뜻하노라 - 그들은 거부되고, 그들의 이름이 지워져, 그들의 이름이 의인들의 이름 가운데서 헤아림을 받지 못하니라. | And it also came to pass that whosoever did belong to the church that did not repent of their wickedness and humble themselves before God—I mean those who were lifted up in the pride of their hearts—the same were rejected, and their names were blotted out, that their names were not numbered among those of the righteous. |
| 앨 6:4 | 이같이 그들이 제이라헤믈라 성에서 교회의 질서를 세우기 시작하였더라. | And thus they began to establish the order of the church in the city of Zarahemla. |
| 앨 6:5 | 이제 나는 하나님의 말씀은 모든 이에게 자유로이 주어졌으므로 아무도 하나님의 말씀을 듣기 위해 함께 모이는 특권을 빼앗기지 아니하였음을 너희가 알기 원하노라. | Now I would that ye should understand that the word of God was liberal unto all, that none were deprived of the privilege of assembling themselves together to hear the word of God. |
| 앨 6:6 | 그럼에도 하나님의 자녀들은 자주 함께 모여, 하나님을 알지 못하는 자들의 영혼의 복리를 위하여 함께 금식하고 간절히 기도하라는 명을 받았느니라. | Nevertheless the children of God were commanded that they should gather themselves together oft, and join in fasting and mighty prayer in behalf of the welfare of the souls of those who knew not God. |
| 앨 6:7 | 그리고 이제 이렇게 되었나니 앨마가 이같이 질서를 바로잡고 나서 그들에게서, 참으로 제이라헤믈라 성에 있는 교회에서 떠나, 시돈 강 동편으로 넘어가서 기드온 골짜기로 들어가니, 거기 기드온 성이라 하는 한 성읍이 세워져 있음이라. 이는 니허의 손에 칼로 죽임을 당한 사람의 이름을 따라 기드온이라 불리우는 골짜기에 있더라. | And now it came to pass that when Alma had made these regulations he departed from them, yea, from the church which was in the city of Zarahemla, and went over upon the east of the river Sidon, into the valley of Gideon, there having been a city built, which was called the city of Gideon, which was in the valley that was called Gideon, being called after the man who was slain by the hand of Nehor with the sword. |
| 앨 6:8 | 이에 앨마가 가서 그의 조상들이 하신 말씀의 참됨에 대한 계시를 좇아, 또한 자기 백성을 그 죄에서 구속하시려고 오실 하나님의 아들, 예수 그리스도의 증거를 좇아, 그의 안에 있는 예언의 영과 그가 부름 받은 거룩한 반차를 따라, 기드온 골짜기에 세워진 교회에 하나님의 말씀을 선포하기 시작하였으니, 기록된 바가 이러하니라. 아멘. | And Alma went and began to declare the word of God unto the church which was established in the valley of Gideon, according to the revelation of the truth of the word which had been spoken by his fathers, and according to the spirit of prophecy which was in him, according to the testimony of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who should come to redeem his people from their sins, and the holy order by which he was called. And thus it is written. Amen. |
