소개 배역한 이스라엘아 돌아오라 나의 노한 얼굴을 너희에게 로 향하지 아니하리라 Israel and Judah defiled and polluted the land through wickedness—In the last days, the Lord will gather Israel, one of a city and two of a family, and bring them to Zion.

 
레 3:1 그들이 말하기를 가령 사람이 그의 아내를 버리므로 그가 그에게서 떠나 타인의 아내가 된다 하자 남편이 그를 다시 받겠느냐 그리하면 그 땅이 크게 더러워지지 아니하겠느냐 하느니라 네가 많은 무리와 행음하고서도 내게로 돌아오려느냐 여호와의 말씀이니라 They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man’s, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD.

(23-9) 예레미야 3:1~11.“행음하다”

예레미야는 예레미야 2장 32절에서 시작하였던 결혼 상징을 계속 사용하였다.(이와 같은 상징주의가 달리 사용된 것은 호세아 주해를 참조한다.)

예레미야는 3장 1, 6, 9, 14, 20절은 이스라엘의 자녀가 주님과 맺은 그들의 성약을 범하고 다른 신들과“행음”하였음을(1절) 보여준다. 유다의 자매, 북 이스라엘(열 지파)도 거짓 신들과 간음(우상 숭배)하였으며, 주님께서는 그녀에게 이혼서를 주고 땅에서 내쫓았다.(앗수르의 포로가 되었다.)

레 3:2 네 눈을 들어 헐벗은 산을 보라 네가 행음하지 아니한 곳이 어디 있느냐 네가 길 가에 앉아 사람들을 기다린 것이 광야에 있는 아라바 사람 같아서 음란과 행악으로 이 땅을 더럽혔도다 Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.
레 3:3 그러므로 단비가 그쳤고 늦은 비가 없어졌느니라 그럴지라도 네가 창녀의 낯을 가졌으므로 수치를 알지 못하느니라 Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore’s forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.
레 3:4 네가 이제부터는 내게 부르짖기를 나의 아버지여 아버지는 나의 청년 시절의 보호자이시오니 Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?
레 3:5 노여움을 한없이 계속하시겠으며 끝까지 품으시겠나이까 하지 아니하겠느냐 보라 네가 이같이 말하여도 악을 행하여 네 욕심을 이루었느니라 하시니라 Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.
레 3:6 요시야 왕 때에 여호와께서 또 내게 이르시되 너는 배역한 이스라엘이 행한 바를 보았느냐 그가 모든 높은 산에 오르며 모든 푸른 나무 아래로 가서 거기서 행음하였도다 The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.
레 3:7 그가 이 모든 일들을 행한 후에 내가 말하기를 그가 내게로 돌아오리라 하였으나 아직도 내게로 돌아오지 아니하였고 그의 반역한 자매 유다는 그것을 보았느니라 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
레 3:8 내게 배역한 이스라엘이 간음을 행하였으므로 내가 그를 내쫓고 그에게 이혼서까지 주었으되 그의 반역한 자매 유다가 두려워하지 아니하고 자기도 가서 행음함을 내가 보았노라 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
레 3:9 그가 돌과 나무와 더불어 행음함을 가볍게 여기고 행음하여 이 땅을 더럽혔거늘 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.
레 3:10 이 모든 일이 있어도 그의 반역한 자매 유다가 진심으로 내게 돌아오지 아니하고 거짓으로 할 뿐이니라 여호와의 말씀이니라 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.
레 3:11 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 배역한 이스라엘은 반역한 유다보다 자신이 더 의로움이 나타났나니 And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.
레 3:12 너는 가서 북을 향하여 이 말을 선포하여 이르라 여호와께서 이르시되 배역한 이스라엘아 돌아오라 나의 노한 얼굴을 너희에게로 향하지 아니하리라 나는 긍휼이 있는 자라 노를 한없이 품지 아니하느니라 여호와의 말씀이니라 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.

(23-10) 예레미야 3:12~19. 후기의 예언과 약속

예레미야는 유다의 배도에 대하여 정죄하는 중에, 이스라엘이 다시 충실한 아내가 되어 다시 회복될 시기에 대하여 말하였다. 주님은 자신이 자비로우며 그들이 다시 교화되기 위하여 필요한 일은 그에게로 다시 돌아오는 것임을 이스라엘에게 상기시켜 주셨다. 주님의 약속에는 다음의 사항이 포함된다.

    • 선교 사업과 시온으로의 집합(14절 참조).
    • 충실한 목자(교회 지도자)가 가르치는 지식과 명철(15절 참조)
    • 옛 성약의 성취와 새로운 성약의 수립(16절 참조).
    • 예루살렘이 다시 의롭게 됨(17절 참조).
    • 유다의 자손들이 그들의 기업의 땅에서 재결합되고

북방으로부터 잃어버린 열 지파가 돌아오는 것을 포함하는 이스라엘의 집합(18~19절 참조; 사 11:16; 35:8~10; 51:9~11; 교성 133:26~35도 참조).   
레 3:13 너는 오직 네 죄를 자복하라 이는 네 하나님 여호와를 배반하고 네 길로 달려 이방인들에게로 나아가 모든 푸른 나무 아래로 가서 내 목소리를 듣지 아니하였음이라 여호와의 말씀이니라 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.
레 3:14 여호와의 말씀이니라 배역한 자식들아 돌아오라 나는 너희 남편임이라 내가 너희를 성읍에서 하나와 족속 중에서 둘을 택하여 너희를 시온으로 데려오겠고 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
레 3:15 내가 또 내 마음에 합한 목자들을 너희에게 주리니 그들이 지식과 명철로 너희를 양육하리라 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
레 3:16 여호와의 말씀이니라 너희가 이 땅에서 번성하여 많아질 때에는 사람들이 여호와의 언약궤를 다시는 말하지 아니할 것이요 생각하지 아니할 것이요 기억하지 아니할 것이요 찾지 아니할 것이요 다시는 만들지 아니할 것이며 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.
레 3:17 그 때에 예루살렘이 그들에게 여호와의 보좌라 일컬음이 되며 모든 백성이 그리로 모이리니 곧 여호와의 이름으로 말미암아 예루살렘에 모이고 다시는 그들의 악한 마음의 완악한 대로 그들이 행하지 아니할 것이며 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
레 3:18 그 때에 유다 족속이 이스라엘 족속과 동행하여 북에서부터 나와서 내가 너희 조상들에게 기업으로 준 땅에 그들이 함께 이르리라 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.
레 3:19 내가 말하기를 내가 어떻게 하든지 너를 자녀들 중에 두며 허다한 나라들 중에 아름다운 기업인 이 귀한 땅을 네게 주리라 하였고 내가 다시 말하기를 너희가 나를 나의 아버지라 하고 나를 떠나지 말 것이니라 하였노라 But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
레 3:20 그런데 이스라엘 족속아 마치 아내가 그의 남편을 속이고 떠나감 같이 너희가 확실히 나를 속였느니라 여호와의 말씀이니라 Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.

 
레 3:21 소리가 헐벗은 산 위에서 들리니 곧 이스라엘 자손이 애곡하며 간구하는 것이라 그들이 그들의 길을 굽게 하며 자기 하나님 여호와를 잊어버렸음이로다 A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the LORD their God.

 
레 3:22 배역한 자식들아 돌아오라 내가 너희의 배역함을 고치리라 하시니라 보소서 우리가 주께 왔사오니 주는 우리 하나님 여호와이심이니이다 Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.

 
레 3:23 작은 산들과 큰 산 위에서 떠드는 것은 참으로 헛된 일이라 이스라엘의 구원은 진실로 우리 하나님 여호와께 있나이다 Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.

 
레 3:24 부끄러운 그것이 우리가 청년의 때로부터 우리 조상들의 산업인 양 떼와 소 떼와 아들들과 딸들을 삼켰사온즉 For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.

 
레 3:25 우리는 수치 중에 눕겠고 우리의 치욕이 우리를 덮을 것이니 이는 우리와 우리 조상들이 청년의 때로부터 오늘까지 우리 하나님 여호와께 범죄하여 우리 하나님 여호와의 목소리에 순종하지 아니하였음이니이다 We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.
