소개 나 만군의 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희는 나무를 베어서 예루살을 향하여 흉벽을 쌓으라 이는 벌 받을 성이라 그 중에는 오직 포학한 것뿐이니라 Jerusalem shall be destroyed because of her iniquity—She shall be overrun by a great and cruel nation.

 
레 6:1 베냐민 자손들아 예루살렘 가운데로부터 피난하라 드고아에서 나팔을 불고 벧학게렘에서 깃발을 들라 재앙과 큰 파멸이 북방에서 엿보아 옴이니라 O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.

 
레 6:2 아름답고 우아한 시온의 딸을 내가 멸절하리니 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.

 
레 6:3 목자들이 그 양 떼를 몰고 와서 주위에 자기 장막을 치고 각기 그 처소에서 먹이리로다 The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.

 
레 6:4 너희는 그를 칠 준비를 하라 일어나라 우리가 정오에 올라가자 아하 아깝다 날이 기울어 저녁 그늘이 길었구나 Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.

 
레 6:5 일어나라 우리가 밤에 올라가서 그 요새들을 헐자 하도다 Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her palaces.

 
레 6:6 만군의 여호와께서 이와 같이 말하노라 너희는 나무를 베어서 예루살렘을 향하여 목책을 만들라 이는 벌 받을 성이라 그 중에는 오직 포학한 것뿐이니라 For thus hath the LORD of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.

 
레 6:7 샘이 그 물을 솟구쳐냄 같이 그가 그 악을 드러내니 폭력과 탈취가 거기에서 들리며 질병과 살상이 내 앞에 계속하느니라 As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.

 
레 6:8 예루살렘아 너는 훈계를 받으라 그리하지 아니하면 내 마음이 너를 싫어하고 너를 황폐하게 하여 주민이 없는 땅으로 만들리라 Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.

 
레 6:9 만군의 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 포도를 따듯이 그들이 이스라엘의 남은 자를 말갛게 주우리라 너는 포도 따는 자처럼 네 손을 광주리에 자주자주 놀리라 하시나니 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.

 
레 6:10 내가 누구에게 말하며 누구에게 경책하여 듣게 할꼬 보라 그 귀가 할례를 받지 못하였으므로 듣지 못하는도다 보라 여호와의 말씀을 그들이 자신들에게 욕으로 여기고 이를 즐겨 하지 아니하니 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

 
레 6:11 그러므로 여호와의 분노가 내게 가득하여 참기 어렵도다 그것을 거리에 있는 아이들과 모인 청년들에게 부으리니 남편과 아내와 나이 든 사람과 늙은이가 다 잡히리로다 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.

 
레 6:12 내가 그 땅 주민에게 내 손을 펼 것인즉 그들의 집과 밭과 아내가 타인의 소유로 이전되리라 여호와의 말씀이니라 And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD.

 
레 6:13 이는 그들이 가장 작은 자로부터 큰 자까지 다 탐욕을 부리며 선지자로부터 제사장까지 다 거짓을 행함이라 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

 
레 6:14 그들이 내 백성의 상처를 가볍게 여기면서 말하기를 평강하다 평강하다 하나 평강이 없도다 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

(23-14) 예레미야 6:14~15.“평강하다 평강하다”

예레미야 시대의 거짓 선지자들과 부패한 제사장들에 관하여 어느 역사학자는 이렇게 말하였다.“당시의 선지자들과 제사장들은 국가의 상처를 다만 겉으로만 감쌌다. 그들은 그들이 범한 추행에 대하여 수치감을 갖지도 않았고 부끄러움을 느끼거나 얼굴을 붉히는 방법도 몰랐다. 그들은 그들과 국가가 행하는 악에 대하여 전혀 무감각하였다. 계속되는 악행은 무감각 상태로 발전하여 결국 악에 대한 감각이 완전히 상실되기에 이르렀다. 그 후 지도자들은 타락하여 백성들과 함께 타락하였다. 하늘에서 손짓이 있는 날, 그날이 그들의 운명의 날이 될 것이기 때문이다.”(톰슨, 예레미야, 258쪽)

레 6:15 그들이 가증한 일을 행할 때에 부끄러워하였느냐 아니라 조금도 부끄러워 하지 않을 뿐 아니라 얼굴도 붉어지지 않았느니라 그러므로 그들이 엎드러지는 자와 함께 엎드러질 것이라 내가 그들을 벌하리니 그 때에 그들이 거꾸러지리라 여호와의 말씀이니라 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
레 6:16 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 너희는 길에 서서 보며 옛적 길 곧 선한 길이 어디인지 알아보고 그리로 가라 너희 심령이 평강을 얻으리라 하나 그들의 대답이 우리는 그리로 가지 않겠노라 하였으며 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

 
레 6:17 내가 또 너희 위에 파수꾼을 세웠으니 나팔 소리를 들으라 하나 그들의 대답이 우리는 듣지 않겠노라 하였도다 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

 
레 6:18 그러므로 너희 나라들아 들으라 무리들아 그들이 당할 일을 알라 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.

 
레 6:19 땅이여 들으라 내가 이 백성에게 재앙을 내리리니 이것이 그들의 생각의 결과라 그들이 내 말을 듣지 아니하며 내 율법을 거절하였음이니라 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

 
레 6:20 시바에서 유향과 먼 곳에서 향품을 내게로 가져옴은 어찌함이냐 나는 그들의 번제를 받지 아니하며 그들의 희생제물을 달게 여기지 않노라 To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.

 
레 6:21 그러므로 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 보라 내가 이 백성 앞에 장애물을 두리니 아버지와 아들들이 함께 거기에 걸려 넘어지며 이웃과 그의 친구가 함께 멸망하리라 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

 
레 6:22 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 보라 한 민족이 북방에서 오며 큰 나라가 땅 끝에서부터 떨쳐 일어나나니 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.

 
레 6:23 그들은 활과 창을 잡았고 잔인하여 사랑이 없으며 그 목소리는 바다처럼 포효하는 소리라 그들이 말을 타고 전사 같이 다 대열을 벌이고 시온의 딸인 너를 치려 하느니라 하시도다 They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.

 
레 6:24 우리가 그 소문을 들었으므로 손이 약하여졌고 고통이 우리를 잡았으므로 그 아픔이 해산하는 여인 같도다 We have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

 
레 6:25 너희는 밭에도 나가지 말라 길로도 다니지 말라 원수의 칼이 있고 사방에 두려움이 있음이라 Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side.

 
레 6:26 딸 내 백성이 굵은 베를 두르고 재에서 구르며 독자를 잃음 같이 슬퍼하며 통곡할지어다 멸망시킬 자가 갑자기 우리에게 올 것임이라 O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.

 
레 6:27 내가 이미 너를 내 백성 중에 망대와 요새로 삼아 그들의 길을 알고 살피게 하였노라 I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.

 
레 6:28 그들은 다 심히 반역한 자며 비방하며 돌아다니는 자며 그들은 놋과 철이며 다 사악한 자라 They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.

 
레 6:29 풀무불을 맹렬히 불면 그 불에 납이 살라져서 단련하는 자의 일이 헛되게 되느니라 이와 같이 악한 자가 제거되지 아니하나니 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.

 
레 6:30 사람들이 그들을 내버린 은이라 부르게 될 것은 여호와께서 그들을 버렸음이라 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.
