소개 내가 다윗에게 한 의로운 가지가 나게 하리니 그가 이 땅에 공평과 정의를 실행할 것이라 Judah and Israel shall be gathered—Christ the Branch of righteousness is promised—The Seed of David shall reign forever.

 
레 33:1 예레미야가 아직 시위대 뜰에 갇혀 있을 때에 여호와의 말씀이 그에게 두 번째로 임하니라 이르시되 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

 
레 33:2 일을 행하시는 여호와, 그것을 만들며 성취하시는 여호와, 그의 이름을 여호와라 하는 이가 이와 같이 이르시도다 Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;

 
레 33:3 너는 내게 부르짖으라 내가 네게 응답하겠고 네가 알지 못하는 크고 은밀한 일을 네게 보이리라 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

(25-16) 예레미야 33:3~14. 후기의 예언

주님은 전지하신 분이므로 미래를 다 아신다. 예언이란 미래의 역사, 다시 말해서 역으로 거스르는 역사이다. 예레미야 33장 3~14절에서 주님은 후기에 이스라엘과 유다의 회복에 대하여 다시 말씀하셨다. 과정을 묘사하는데 사용된 용어에 유의하자. “내가 이 성읍을 치료하며 … 그들을 … 정하게 하며 그들이 내게 범하여 행한 … 모든 죄악을 사할 것이라.’ (6절, 8절)

후기에는 황폐한 땅도 그 전의 상태로 회복될 것이다.(12절 참조) 한때 황폐했던 성읍은 다시 사람들과 많은 가축으로 가득 찰 것이다.(13절 참조) 후기에 주님은 그가 이스라엘과 유다의 지파에게 약속하셨던 모든 것을 수행하실 것이다.(14절 참조)

레 33:4 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하시니라 무리가 이 성읍의 가옥과 유다 왕궁을 헐어서 갈대아인의 참호와 칼을 대항하여 For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
레 33:5 싸우려 하였으나 내가 나의 노여움과 분함으로 그들을 죽이고 그들의 시체로 이 성을 채우게 하였나니 이는 그들의 모든 악행으로 말미암아 나의 얼굴을 가리어 이 성을 돌아보지 아니하였음이라 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
레 33:6 그러나 보라 내가 이 성읍을 치료하며 고쳐 낫게 하고 평안과 진실이 풍성함을 그들에게 나타낼 것이며 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
레 33:7 내가 유다의 포로와 이스라엘의 포로를 돌아오게 하여 그들을 처음과 같이 세울 것이며 And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
레 33:8 내가 그들을 내게 범한 그 모든 죄악에서 정하게 하며 그들이 내게 범하며 행한 모든 죄악을 사할 것이라 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
레 33:9 이 성읍이 세계 열방 앞에서 나의 기쁜 이름이 될 것이며 찬송과 영광이 될 것이요 그들은 내가 이 백성에게 베푼 모든 복을 들을 것이요 내가 이 성읍에 베푼 모든 복과 모든 평안으로 말미암아 두려워하며 떨리라 And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
레 33:10 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 너희가 가리켜 말하기를 황폐하여 사람도 없고 짐승도 없다 하던 여기 곧 황폐하여 사람도 없고 주민도 없고 짐승도 없던 유다 성읍들과 예루살렘 거리에서 즐거워하는 소리, 기뻐하는 소리, 신랑의 소리, 신부의 소리와 및 만군의 여호와께 감사하라, 여호와는 선하시니 그 인자하심이 영원하다 하는 소리와 여호와의 성전에 감사제를 드리는 자들의 소리가 다시 들리리니 이는 내가 이 땅의 포로를 돌려보내어 지난 날처럼 되게 할 것임이라 여호와의 말씀이니라 Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
레 33:12 만군의 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 황폐하여 사람도 없고 짐승도 없던 이 곳과 그 모든 성읍에 다시 목자가 살 곳이 있으리니 그의 양 떼를 눕게 할 것이라 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
레 33:13 산지 성읍들과 평지 성읍들과 네겝의 성읍들과 베냐민 땅과 예루살렘 사면과 유다 성읍들에서 양 떼가 다시 계수하는 자의 손 아래로 지나리라 여호와께서 말씀하시니라 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.
레 33:14 여호와의 말씀이니라 보라 내가 이스라엘 집과 유다 집에 대하여 일러 준 선한 말을 성취할 날이 이르리라 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
레 33:15 그 날 그 때에 내가 다윗에게서 한 공의로운 가지가 나게 하리니 그가 이 땅에 정의와 공의를 실행할 것이라 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

(25-17) 예레미야 33:15~16. 다윗의 가지

“이 땅에 정의와 공의를 실행할”“다윗에게서 [나올] 한 공의로운 가지”(15절)는 예수 그리스도를 말한다.(이사야 11:1; 예레미야 23:5~6) 이 복천년의 사건이 일어날 때, 유대인은 예루살렘에 안전하게 거하게 될 것이다.

16절 마지막 부분은 그것이 예루살렘 자체가 “여호와는 우리의 의”로 불리워질 것임을 암시하므로 특별히 좋은 번역은 아니다. 아담 클라크에 의하면 이 구절은 다음과 같이 번역되어야 한다. “그 집을 부를 자는 여호와 우리의 공평이라” 다시 말하면 다윗의 가지인 예수 그리스도이다.(성경 … 주해 및 주석, 4:344)  
레 33:16 그 날에 유다가 구원을 받겠고 예루살렘이 안전히 살 것이며 이 성은 여호와는 우리의 의라는 이름을 얻으리라 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
레 33:17 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 이스라엘 집의 왕위에 앉을 사람이 다윗에게 영원히 끊어지지 아니할 것이며 For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;

(25-18) 예레미야 33:17~26. 그리스도의 아들과 딸이 됨

다윗의 후손은 자기의 죄를 회개하고 복음의 의식을 받으며, 성신의 은사를 받고, 새로운 다윗 곧 예수 그리스도를 따르는 자들이다. 베냐민 왕은 그의 백성이 하나님의 뜻대로 행하고 그의 계명에 순종하기로 하나님과 기꺼이 성약을 맺은 후에 그들에게 이 개념을 설명해 주었다.(모사이야서 5:7절 참조)

아빈아다이도 그리스도의 자손을 본다는 것이 무슨 뜻인지를 설명하였다.(모사이야서 15:11~13 참조)

레 33:18 내 앞에서 번제를 드리며 소제를 사르며 다른 제사를 항상 드릴 레위 사람 제사장들도 끊어지지 아니하리라 하시니라 Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
레 33:19 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라 이르시되 And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,
레 33:20 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 너희가 능히 낮에 대한 나의 언약과 밤에 대한 나의 언약을 깨뜨려 주야로 그 때를 잃게 할 수 있을진대 Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
레 33:21 내 종 다윗에게 세운 나의 언약도 깨뜨려 그에게 그의 자리에 앉아 다스릴 아들이 없게 할 수 있겠으며 내가 나를 섬기는 레위인 제사장에게 세운 언약도 파할 수 있으리라 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
레 33:22 하늘의 만상은 셀 수 없으며 바다의 모래는 측량할 수 없나니 내가 그와 같이 내 종 다윗의 자손과 나를 섬기는 레위인을 번성하게 하리라 하시니라 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
레 33:23 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라 이르시되 Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
레 33:24 이 백성이 말하기를 여호와께서 자기가 택하신 그들 중에 두 가계를 버리셨다 한 것을 네가 생각하지 아니하느냐 그들이 내 백성을 멸시하여 자기들 앞에서 나라로 인정하지 아니하도다 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
레 33:25 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 내가 주야와 맺은 언약이 없다든지 천지의 법칙을 내가 정하지 아니하였다면 Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
레 33:26 야곱과 내 종 다윗의 자손을 버리고 다시는 다윗의 자손 중에서 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 자손을 다스릴 자를 택하지 아니하리라 내가 그 포로된 자를 돌아오게 하고 그를 불쌍히 여기리라 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
