| 소개 | 하나님이여 열방이 주의 기업에 들어와서 주의 성전을 더럽히고 예루살렘으로 돌 무더기가 되게 하였나이다 | The heathen destroy Jerusalem and defile the temple—Israel pleads for forgiveness and deliverance.

| 시 79:1 | 하나님이여 이방 나라들이 주의 기업의 땅에 들어와서 주의 성전을 더럽히고 예루살렘이 돌무더기가 되게 하였나이다 | O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps. |
| 시 79:2 | 그들이 주의 종들의 시체를 공중의 새에게 밥으로, 주의 성도들의 육체를 땅의 짐승에게 주며 | The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth. |
| 시 79:3 | 그들의 피를 예루살렘 사방에 물 같이 흘렸으나 그들을 매장하는 자가 없었나이다 | Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them. |
| 시 79:4 | 우리는 우리 이웃에게 비방 거리가 되며 우리를 에워싼 자에게 조소와 조롱 거리가 되었나이다 | We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us. |
| 시 79:5 | 여호와여 어느 때까지니이까 영원히 노하시리이까 주의 질투가 불붙듯 하시리이까 | How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire? |
| 시 79:6 | 주를 알지 아니하는 민족들과 주의 이름을 부르지 아니하는 나라들에게 주의 노를 쏟으소서 | Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name. |
| 시 79:7 | 그들이 야곱을 삼키고 그의 거처를 황폐하게 함이니이다 | For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place. |
| 시 79:8 | 우리 조상들의 죄악을 기억하지 마시고 주의 긍휼로 우리를 속히 영접하소서 우리가 매우 가련하게 되었나이다 | O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low. |
| 시 79:9 | 우리 구원의 하나님이여 주의 이름의 영광스러운 행사를 위하여 우리를 도우시며 주의 이름을 증거하기 위하여 우리를 건지시며 우리 죄를 사하소서 | Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake. |
| 시 79:10 | 이방 나라들이 어찌하여 그들의 하나님이 어디 있느냐 말하나이까 주의 종들이 피 흘림에 대한 복수를 우리의 목전에서 이방 나라에게 보여 주소서 | Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed. |
| 시 79:11 | 갇힌 자의 탄식을 주의 앞에 이르게 하시며 죽이기로 정해진 자도 주의 크신 능력을 따라 보존하소서 | Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die; |
| 시 79:12 | 주여 우리 이웃이 주를 비방한 그 비방을 그들의 품에 칠 배나 갚으소서 | And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord. |
| 시 79:13 | 우리는 주의 백성이요 주의 목장의 양이니 우리는 영원히 주께 감사하며 주의 영예를 대대에 전하리이다 | So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations. |
